This was for me a must have post shoulder surgery comfortability support buddy. I love it because of its design shape for adjustability to get it just where it is needed to support my arm/shoulder and hand. Tore 3 tendons in left rotator cuff. Had to wait couple weeks to get the MRI and meet with the surgeon. Arm ached all evening watching tv...constant no matter what I tried to prop it on to get relief. Ordered this surgery pillow and I have to say loudly...it was worth every penny! Oh my gosh it just stopped that constant throbbing and gave me such peace to relax in the evening. You can position it in many ways to find just that right comfort. Totally recommend it to anyone with annoying shoulder aches/pain. Couple more weeks till I have surgery. Will update how it does during therapy after the 6 wks immobile.

This pillow kept my arm, comfortable and cozy while maintaining a good position for healing after rotator cuff surgery. The downside was that I did not get the one with the shoulder strap so I felt like when I stood up, I had to hold it with my arm to keep it in position. But it is definitely good to have while sitting and a way to get out of that uncomfortable sling

So great and comfy. Hubby had shoulder surgery, used it 24-7. Daughter had shoulder surgery 4 months later and she used it.

I bought this for my mother who went through her 3rd shoulder surgery, her thoughts are as follows. 1: it's soft and comfortable, however it doesn't stay in place even when Velcroed. 2: where the Velcro strap sits causes irritation to the shoulder 3: really only helps in the car when used as a pillow to soften vibrations and movement. When used with you sling.

By its appearance, this pillow should work, but there are flaws. The black strap for the hand is so tight that my hand went numb after a half hour. I had to secure my wrist with a Velcro strap of my own that I wound around the end of the pillow. It was clumsy but better than the black band that’s attached to the pillow. The pillow comes set up for the left arm, which is counterintuitive because 70% of humans are right handed. Therefore the end of Velcro strip that secures the upper arm ends up inside and under the band, which complicates adjustment. I found it very awkward to use. Its only saving grace is the soft covering.

I bought the large size. I’m 5’9”, 185 lbs. wearing the stabilizer all day and night gets to be a pain. I ordered this before the operation to my shoulder. I did not use it for the first couple weeks. On the third week post operation, I decided to try this out while sitting around. It felt like heaven to get out of the stabilizer. This material is soft. It’s not meant to be used as a stabilizer, but it does provide support for sitting and laying around. I’m happy with my purchase.

Sleep has been the hardest this, post-op from my rotator cuff surgery. However this is an easy-to-use, inexpensive option for comfort. It fits well under the arm, and the straps hold it in place. I opted to use this pillow for air travel in place of the metal brace that puts the arm out. The TSA agents were interested and actually happy not to have the big metal brace to deal with. The pillow traveled well. I have definitely got my money's worth, and I'm not even 3weeks post-op! Good quality and the couple nights I tried to sleep without it were not good. Get it!
