I ordered 5 different waterproof, non-fancy rain pants for an upcoming hiking trip to Ireland to see what they're like. I live in L.A. so I will likely never need these again until I go somewhere else wet, so I didn't want to spend 100s of $ for something really fancy. I just needed something lightweight, packable, waterproof and easy to get on and off wearing boots if caught in a sudden storm. While these do not have zippered legs, the Velcro strip allowed adequate extra room to pull them on over muddy boots without making a mess. Best of all: they weighed just 7 oz wrapped up in their carry bag and were 1/3 less bulky than all other brands. This is done by not including a netting layer inside, so they may end up wearing a little hotter than other brands without that extra layer. Thy have clearly taped seams and the ankle Velcro closures make them fit well around boots. Love the smooth zippered pockets with protective flaps. Big enough for an iphone. Overall well sized, fit perfectly.

Worked great for my needs. Went to Antarctica which included many rides in zodiac from ship to shore. Waterproof pants were required. Didn’t want to spend a lot since my normal lifestyle would not require their use.We had mostly wet landings meaning when we got out of zodiac on land we were stepping into a foot of water.These pants have Velcro at ankle which I secured tightly at ankle of boot. Also despite all of the water sprays during the zodiac rides, all under layers remained dry.I’m 5’ tall - 130#. First ordered a small which fit but because of the under layers needed for warmth I exchanged them for a medium.

If you love to go hiking in all sorts of weather then these are great rain pants.Our family planned to go hiking with a group of friends. Rain was forecasted but we all (with exception of child) went prepared. Because I had these with us, they were able to join us.Our child is a little shorter than I am but was able to easily tuck these into their rain boots. The pants while large easily stayed on over their jeans. We were in the pouring rain for about an hour and a half and they didn’t get wet at all.

These are a light weight, unlined rain pants. I wear sweatpants underneath. They have kept me warm & dry in temps to 32° with a moderate wind and rain.I bought XS and the waist & length fit well. I am 5'4 & 115 lbs. They have proven to be very comfortable for me. I don't have a need to constantly be pulling them back into place as I walk.The pockets are well placed and have a deep enough length to fit my hand all the way to my wrist.As far as durability, I have only used them for walking. If I was working in them, they might rip easily if caught on something as they are a light weight, unlined pants.For me, they are great. I am pleased with them.

I was worried that the XS extra short would be too small but the size chart was exactly right. The pockets on these are a real nice and useful rain pants bonus.

I purchased these pants and they would not go up past the top of my legs. I went by the measurements they gave plus everyone in the reviews said they run large.I am returning them

Light and easy to travel with as rain pants when hiking

I’m 5’3” and the short was pretty long on me but they are made to pull on over your shoes and they do have Velcro so you can tighten the legs.
