Beautiful photographs
My daughter is considering taking a gap year either in 2025 or 2026 to do some traveling in between her studies, but as yet she is undecided on what parts of the world she wants to travel and explore. This hardback book is full of beautiful photographs and gives a insight to where to explore in the given regions. It is a lovely book to just pick up and dip in and out of when you feel like. This book isn't a in-depth travel guide but certainly gives enough information to peak your interest to research the areas contained within it more and if you should add to your list of possible destinations to visit. My daughter will be sure to enjoy flicking through this book and is another one to add to her growing collection of travel books.

A unique way of looking at future travel plans
I've got lots of Lonely Planet books for specific locations, like India, Malta, Barcelona, but I wanted to have a look through this one to see if it'll broaden my travel horizons as I tend to keep going back to places I've already visited. I am happy to say that merely opening the book to the contents pages gives me enough information to know there are many places I need to visit and will be able to get some good insights from this Best in Travel book. What interests me the most is that it's not just a top 10 list of cities or countries, but theme based ideas of which some really resonate with me like the parks, beaches and "taking it easy". I'm really glad I got this book.

Sturdy informative book
Beautifully illustrated informative BEST in TRAVEL 2025 Lonely planet guide. This is very handy to carry on travels. It's hard bound so will last. Has maps, pictures, information on where to go, how to get there. It's a book with very interesting information. I shall be using this on my travels. The paper for pages is also of very good quality so this book will endure wear and tear of travels!!!

Great for finding interesting new places to visit
This 2025 best in travel guide is nicely printed in a hardback book and includes a variety of interesting and unusual places you might like to visit. It isn't like a traditional in-depth travel guide you would get for a specific city but this isn't the point of this product, as I understand it they produce a copy of this every year and have a new list of places every time. This year's list includes cities and countries across the world including those in Asia, North and South America, Africa and others. It includes highlights of things to do in each place, the best time to go and how to get there. It also has beautiful photographs of each place throughout. All in, a great product for those who like to go off the beaten track or are looking for inspiration for their next trip.

A very good book
I’m a big fan of lonely planet books and have used them for a couple of decades on my travels. This is more of a coffee table book, it’s hardback and is nicely presented if a little smaller than I anticipated. Has some nice suggestions for the more obscure travel destinations. It’s split into different sections - top ten countries, cities, regions, travel trends and each destination has a handy section detailing when to go and how to get there.

Inspirational Travel Ideas
I'm always impressed by the quality of Lonely Planet travel books and this is no exception. The book is split into four sections - Top 10 Countries; Top 10 Cities; Top 10 regions (nice to see east Anglia included here); Top 10 travel trends (including the Bentham line in England in the train hopping section) . The travel trend section has ten recommendations for each of the trends. So in total there are 70 ideas for travel in 2025.The photography in the book is stunning and whilst none of the destinations is covered in depth, you certainly get an idea and flavour of each place. There's a map of each country, a highlights section, a short amount of descriptive text and an information box which includes one to three of the following - when to go; how to get there; further reading.Definitely more useful if you are considering globe-trotting next year, as most of the locations are further afield. However, I think my favourite section is the travel trends - looking at things like market shopping, train hopping and arboreal adventures (tree watching). Even if you are more of an armchair adventurer it will inspire you.Overall - would make a lovely Christmas present for someone looking to travel in 2025.
