Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Best toddler parenting book - Best parenting book out there! By far this was the most useful parenting book for me and helped on routines, discipline etc. Review: A book for the tough toddler years - I had purchased Jo Frosts 'Confident baby care' and found it really useful so was pleased when I heard she was bringing out a 'Confident toddler care' book. This book is fairly thick and packed full of info so Im still reading it, its broken up into chapters dealing with all of the toddler issues you could think of and the idea is you read it fully and then refer back to when needed (i have a feeling mine will be falling to bits by the time im finished with it). Its split well with different chapters, and sections with further tips and advice, there are also ages and stages sections, sections with toy reccommendations for different ages, common illnesses, book recommendations and even a section full of nursery rhymes! The only thing i find is it focuses more on toddlers from 2 years upwards and doesnt offer much advice on what to do with an 18 month old and some of it is a bit unrealistic -like never raising your voice to your child! But even so I do think this book is great and although not all of it applys yet it will be a book that stays with me through the tough toddler years.

Easy, clear and concise information that works!
I bought this book after seeing Jo on Supernanny and my toddler started having a few tantrums. My other half thought I was being too soft, I thought he was being too harsh and we needed to find some middle ground and agree on how we were going to disapline the little man in question! This book gave us everything we needed, not only did we find the techniques worked, but it meant we didn't need to shout or result to smacking (which is something we personally were highly against in the first place.)My partner and I were no longer playing Good Cop/Bad Cop and were reading from the same script - which also meant my toddler was getting consistant, rather than mixed messages. The book is very clear and has bullet points and chunks of information, which make it easier to read an digest. I prefered this style to the long boring chapters you sometimes see in other self help books. What I liked the most is that Jo confirmed that what I had been doing so far with many things were right, and that the book helped me to realise where I was making some silly mistakes, that would have probably been obvious if I had watched someone else doing it on SuperNanny! It has advice on everything from childcare to toilet training and it is easy to find information in the Index. I would certainly say it's worth giving it a go.

Great book, well laid out with clear advice
I am very impressed by this book. My baby is almost a year old so I wanted to be prepared for the next stages of her life. I like the Supernanny series on tv, so thought I'd give the book a go. The book follows her no nonsense approach and is broken down into four parts - parenting, big issues for toddlers, day in the life of a toddler and useful resources. It covers issues such as working parents/guilt, discipline, healthy eating/portion sizes, transition from bottle to cup, potty training, sleep problems. Another review criticised saying it is a rehash of other books. I don't own any other books like this, so can't compare. My only criticism is that there are too many exclamation marks for my liking, but that's something I can live with. If you are thinking about buying a book to get you through the toddler years, then I think this is a good choice.

Great book would definitely recommend
So glad I bought this book, it is well laid out, easy to follow and was exactly what I was looking for as was having a tough time with my toddler and felt lie i was a terrible mum. I was desperate to try anything and I've got to say this book gave me the confidence to not only try new things but to also do things in a different way. As a result I do now have a 'contented toddler' he sleeps through has afternoon naps in his bed, so no more driving round in the car until he falls asleep and only has his dummy at naps time (building up to next stage of no dummy!) obviously this also means a happy more contented mummy who isn't afraid to start on potty training!! I have recommended this book to everyone I know - it gave me back my sanity!!

It's ok
It's ok, guess it touches on most things and will be a good ref book throughout but I haunt found direct guidance for the 2 things I bought it for. my 18math old is definitely in full swing of terrible twos and I gave been considering time out which it's advised not to do until 2, so what should I do? also my son WILL NOT allow me to brush his teeth...No real helpful tips on how to overcome this just that it HAS to be done. lots of "I can't stess how important this is" possibly overwhelming at times

Fantastic!
I can't recommend this book enough! We were almost desperate for some help with our toddler as she didn't like sleeping in her own bed. Read the reviews before purchasing and couldn't agree more with them. We've had this book for only a few days and already it's making a difference in our lives. So much of what she says makes sense and her solutions have worked so far, our daughter is already sleeping in her own bed! The book covers all topics imaginable from travelling to routine, how to introduce a new baby and potty training. We will no doubt refer back to this book time and time again and will probably use it on our second child too. It's well worth the money and I don't know why we didn't buy it sooner.

For those who are unsure about how to discipline a toddler this is a must have. It's no nonsense approach is awesome. Also it covers different areas like sleep, feeding and potty training. I like how you can skip to different parts of the book when you need advice right now. For those who allready love Jo Frost then you'll love this.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I have watched "Supernanny JoJo" and I always said to my partner "I will kill myself if our children turn out to be like this".. Well, here I am reading this book. I love this woman, and I agree with her in almost every point and rule she sets! My daughter is now 2 and a bit, and I feel that now is the time where she is testing me even more without me noticing it. Sometimes I really struggled as a now temporary single mom, and I just felt like throwing the bloody towel and getting a glass of wine. Then I remembered watching this program and immidiatly was looking for an ebook of Jo Frost. I have downloaded them all (Toddler). It is really helping me to stay calm and confident. She has got some very usefull tips and it absolutly seems to work. She is describing diverent types of parents and daily situations, and it just seems like she has been watching you and has been writing this book of a basis of your mistakes. :) I thank her for being a Nanny and my lifesaver. What this book HAS got compared to many others I have started to read is the HOW! How to do it, how to change it, very helpful advices and techniques... many other books just analysed the situation but I missed the "how to change it..." If you are struggling you need someone to pull you aside and tell you what to do, and it is excatly what JoJo does in this book..

Not only it gave me all the practical tips and techniques that I needed but also help me tremendously to change my mindset into a positive one. After only few days of implementing, my daughter has already improved her behaviour... Life saving book !

Tutti i libri di Jo Frost sono eccellenti guide se pensi che dare amore, limiti e disciplina siano importanti per tuo figlio. Il libro era in buone condizioni anche se usato.

I guess, I shouldn't be surprised, but this is a really great book! I was skeptical because Jo Frost is a television personality. However, the solutions in the book are very helpful and easy to follow. Confident Toddler Care reads like a textbook. It's a quick, easy and realistic. My husband and I have no clue what we are doing, Confident Toddler Care has given us direction. Frankly, it's so good that I bought, and have given, the baby book when my son was at 13 months old. I wish I had received/seen this book sooner! I highly recommend both books!
