Heroes of Olympus Complete Collection (5 Book Slipcase)

I’m still only on the first book but it’s really good, I can’t wait to read every day. It’s definitely living up to Percy Jackson standards. It’s so interesting too I can’t wait to find out more. The first book takes place months after the last Olympian so I definitely recommend reading these. It ties in nicely.

You don't have to have read the Percy Jackson books to enjoy these but if you have read them I would definitely recommend this series. It is great to see the same characters back from Percy Jackson and there are new characters too and you get to know about their personality and back story. I liked how it didn't always go on the same characters, it got onto new characters and invented a whole new part of the Percy Jackson universe. I liked the way some books introduced new characters but they were connected to a different part of the universe. I would also recommend it if you like Greek or Roman living and mythology. (age 7)

My daughter read this book/books after the original Percy Jackson series and enjoyed them so much. She would definitely recommend it. It is also quite good and helpful as you don’t have to buy all the separate books.

A great series overall from start to finish. Managed to finish all 5 books over a period of 4 days likely shows how engrossed I was. I very much enjoyed the first Arc in the world with the Percy Jackson books which I very much enjoyed and this is largely more of the same. If you enjoyed that series you will mostly like this series also which makes it worth picking up. As the name implies and the blurb's, there are a lot more Hero's in this book rather then mostly focusing on Percy Jackson in the first series. This allows for some fresh new character's powers, view points etc. This for me is also a slight weakness and why it loses a star. At times when its the main characters view point, they are very much capable individuals. However when reading from another characters viewpoint, it seems other characters who were the POV chapter before become dumb all of a sudden. In a way its to shine the spotlight on all the Hero's and allow them to show why they matter to the team, but its stretched a tad too much IMO. Overall however if you like the previous books, this box set is well worth picking up.

I love this book so much read it if you’re unsure about it read it I am not kidding. It is one of the best books ever like I just can’t get over it. It’s awesome. Read it now. Just read it. OK

If you enjoyed the original Percy Jackson books then I would highly recommend you give these books a try. I loved the first set of Percy Jackson books. I originally hesitated getting this set of books because the description of the first book makes it sound like it is a complete new set of characters. SPOILER ALERT!!!: I was delighted when the original characters return to take central roles with the new characters. The story is a great expansion to the original set of books and once I warmed to the new characters they are very likeable with their own intriguing back origins.

I absolutely loved these books. As a 37 year old, I don’t think I am the desired demographic, but I found them to be humorous, well written and informative. I absolutely flew through them, and enjoyed every second. I found myself being educated about the gods in a really refreshing way. I am going to buy physical copies of Ricks Percy Jackson books to tempt my niece and nephews into his fabulous world of adventure.

First of all I am a homeschool mum who bought the Percy Jackson series for my son to read. I read them too, to discuss with him, and I got hooked. When book 5 finished of that series I was so stoked to find The Heroes of Olympus series was a continuation of the Percy Jackson series. What I did not expect, was how good this series would be. Wow. Phenomenal writing, intertwined, suspenseful, action-packed, edge-of-your-seat reading from the start of book one to the end of book five. This series was even better than the Percy Jackson ones. Partly, because the original characters are older and the new characters bring so much more to the table, partly because of the complexity of weaving Roman and Greek history together so successfully, but mainly because this series goes beyond the riveting ‘can’t wait to turn the page’ writing into areas much deeper than the first by using the Gods areas of expertise to (inadvertently) impart wisdom onto the reader. This is what I loved most about this book. The extra depth brought into it, dealing with emotions through a specific God’s experiences and/or qualities. And the cliff hanger in Book 3? Yeah, just simply awesome. Given that I have just finished reading these 5 books a second time, I had to write a review. Probably the best books I have ever read. Really special series.
