Color:Black The Secret “Sleep Hack” of High Performers It's amazing how many top level entrepreneurs and “A” listers use blue blocking glasses at night. Up until recently, it has been a closely guarded performance secret. But how do they work? Blue Light at Night Blue light exposure at night has been proven time and time again to be disastrous to your body’s internal clockwork. Your body tracks the time of day with special receptors in the eye that sense light levels. They are extremely sensitive to blue light. This is a problem because any blue light exposure after dark creates conflicting signals. Your biorhythms can become fragmented and distorted. Not Good… The Disruption Zone While the body is sensitive to higher levels of all visible light, the range of 450 - 510nm is by FAR the most disruptive. BioRhythm Safe: The New Orange Standard Most blue blocking glasses are not suitable for nighttime eyewear. The claim of blocking 99.9% blue light is meaningless if the full Disruption Zone is not included. Our glasses are specifically designed to block light in this range. By establishing these parameters we are setting a new standard that we hope other manufactures will follow. Virtual Darkness By blocking 99.8% of light in the Disruption Zone, we are creating a personal bubble of “virtual darkness”. * Safely use computers, tablets, and phones * Protects against the strong blue emissions from LED and florescent lights. * Allows your body to shift effortlessly into nighttime physiology * Allows for rapid sleep onset and deep natural sleep cycles * Virtual personal darkness can be taken with you anywhere you go! 100% Satisfaction Guaranty Join thousands of other high performers using nighttime eyewear. A+++ from a Professional Standpoint
Speaking as a medical doctor specializing in Neuropsychiatry I must say that the Spectra479 Blue Blocking Amber Glasses are the most effective lenses at supporting regulation of a person's biorhythmic circadian rhythm. I've evaluated and tested many glasses, claiming to block actual destructive 450- 510nm blue light using both scientific and personal evaluations. As skeptical as most people are, these are not just Amber/ Orange cheap colored lenses. Through thorough testing of these lenses using both a Blue Light Pass Filter, and a Photodiode Transconductance Amplifier recorded measurements were analyzed detailing penetrating wavelength histogram levels of reflectivity and some refractive light, LUX, and color temperature. I have found these glasses to live up to their claim of accurately blocking the most critical wavelengths 490nm - 510nm with an overlap over lower wavelengths which ARE CRITICAL!Blocking high-end blue light helps with melatonin production, but Orexin-A and adenosine breaks s down and suppress its function. Melatonin suppressing glasses work by eliminating the specific spectrum of blue light. Unfortunately, this is only 1/3 the problem. During dark hours there are other factors of biorhythmic circadian regulations. Second to melatonin secretion from the pineal gland are hypothalamic Orexin hormones, which act in reverse. When refractive light at lower wavelengths enter the eye, specific neurons at the level of the optic-chasm trigger the release of a hormone (Orexin-A mainly) which tells our brains to stay awake/alert instead of entering a nocturnal state. CirculatingAdenosine inhibits the response to melatonin receptors that act on the brains frontal lobe also contributing to insomnia. By covering a broader spectrum of blue’s beyond the 450nm-510nm range not only induces the production and secretion of melatonin from the pineal gland, but it also suppresses the actions of Orexin hormones and aid in the destruction of circulating adenosine (a third contributing hormone responsible for increased brain activity). To make a long story short, I have tried the “Popular celebrity” brand and over ten other brands. As some may have claims of blocking blue light, they have not passed spectrometry tests for the blue light that efficiently cover the most influential wavelengths.Wearing these glasses may be awkward at first, you’ll notice that it’s not possible to identify any range of the color blue as opposed to the competition. The human brain is a phenomenal piece of machinery that adapts to odd situations. Give the glasses some time, and you will adjust to the light. I have not seen these specifications anywhere else on the market. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE!!I am in NO WAY affiliated, associated, or compensated for this review. This review is solely written with NO influences. It reflects my individual opinion and knowledge in this field.

Super Awesome Customer Service!
I purchased these glasses after having worn the orange Uvex glasses that I'd imagine most sleep hackers start with. After a month or 2 of daily use I was sold on the science but wanted a pair I wouldn't be embarrassed to wear in public or answer the door with. After reading many reviews and debating budget etc I decided on these. When compared to the Uvex I personally feel these glasses let a slight bit more blue light in. We have a coffee maker with a blue LED that I can't see at all with the Uvex but can ever so slightly see with the 479's. That said, when it comes to style and comfort these leave the Uvex in their dust.Lastly and most importantly is the customer service. Within the first week of use one of the rubber earpieces started pulling off the arm of the glasses when I removed them. Not a huge deal I figured I would just glue it. I emailed the seller to ask if they had any suggestions for which glue would work best long term. They replied almost immediately, offered a suggestion, confessed this had been a problem on 2-3 out of their last 1,000 and asked for my address to send another pair out. They even told me to keep this pair as a back-up.TLDR; This is my first review. I felt compelled by AWESOME customer service. Get a pair you won't regret it.

Poor quality - warning enclosed - save your money
This is a review of the glasses themselves, not their impact on sleep which is a very individual matter. As an investment, I find it very disturbing to have paid what I did for what is essentially an ultra-cheap, low quality pair of chintzy orange sunglasses. As someone else remarked, these are LESS than the quality you'd find on a $1.99 rack of cheapie sunglasses at a 7-11. What a shock it was when I bought two of these only to find that the build quality means they'll last about three weeks, or that the lenses themselves are the ultimate cheap plastic which distorts everything you look at through them.

Good purchase, excited about them
I had ordered the most expensive ray ban style blue light blockers that were 89$, but exchanged those for these 30$ ones and am a lot more happy. These fit my face better and block out more side lighting . The other ones were ray ban style and so let in more light and I didn't like that. I pulled up a blue light glasses test online and this product has passed the test as far as them doing what they claim they do. so far they seem great. Lightweight which is good because you can wear them for long time without them hurting your face. The 89$ had more expensive feel but hurt my face after wearing for long time also let in more light on sides. These work better in my opinion and am glad I traded them out. Good buy in my book.

Blue Blocking Comfort With Tests
Blue Blocking Amber Glasses for Sleep - BioRhythm Safe(TM) - Nighttime Eyewear - Special Orange Tinted Glasses Help You Sleep and Relax Your EyesIm so excited about these glasses! Since I learned about the effects of blue light on the body and brain I have been wearing blue blocking glasses in the evening for quite some time, but the pair I was using were uncomfortable. Zendustries has got it right here, these fit perfect and do not look so weird. I love the frames compared to the sharp edged safety glasses I was using before.Time will tell how well the orange lenses actually block the blue light, but according to the technical specs this should be much better than some random orange glasses that have no blue blocking tests.
