Beautiful costume dress
The dress is better than I could have hoped for. I ordered it for my sister's wedding which was fairies and cowboy themed. And I wanted to go with a Renaissance princess fairy. I couldn't decide which color I wanted, but I'm so glad I chose red. It's a beautiful rich color, makes me feel so elegant. The quality is fantastic, the velvet is soft, though if you're sensitive to velvet like I am, definitely do not run your hands down the dress but running your hands up is fine. It's a nice thick quality too, no rips or loose threads. The sleeves or a nice material as well, nice and flowy and not very sheer. I was able to wear a red shirt underneath the dress for some warmth and the sleeves covered it up pretty well. The dress is a bit long, I'm 5'4 and around 100 or so pounds. I wore heels and it's still swept the floor a little bit. It does tie nicely in the back to get a better shape on your body if you don't want it loose. 10/10 would absolutely buy another one.

The measurements listed for size help for a perfect fit!
So lovely! There's some loose strings on the seams of the sleeves, but again quick trim fixed that! Super excited to wear it out! My friends have already commented how lovely it is! The fabric of the dress is lovely and once I tightened the back it really added extra shape. The measurements listed worked perfectly to size it for my body! I was a little worried since it said I'd need an xs for my bust, but Small for my waste. The small worked perfectly though. The silver on the neckline had me worried that it might be an irritation, but it does not touch the skin! Worth not having to find the fabric and make it myself! Love it!

Great Quality, even prettier in person!
Really nice quality dress and even prettier in person! I’m a size 6/8 and got the large & it was pretty form fitting through the chest and I added a belt to give the waist more shape. I would say if you’re a medium normally size up to the large since it has the corset like back to adjust it. Length was a tad long but I’m only 5’ 4”. Really happy with it for the renaissance faire!

Elmendëa!
I could not be more delighted with this dress. It feels lovely on, and makes me feel lovely as well. (I can't wait to take it out in nature and walk through some leaves in it!) I do wish I could have gotten the more screen-accurate grey option, but that's sold-out in my size, so I went with the blue, and it is admittedly striking. A very bright, vibrant color. And I definitely chose the right size, because the dress fits me absolutely perfectly! Much better than I was expecting, to be honest. And so comfortable! For reference, I am 5'8" with a hip-measurement of 47" around my widest point. I could maybe wish the skirt was an inch or two longer so it would drag gracefully on the floor like Liv's do, but even as it is, it falls very nicely to just barely above the ground when I'm in bare feet. (Which is more practical to be sure, as it won't get torn-up by the ground, even if it's a little less fun!) The dress doesn't feel overly-stretched or saggy, and I could have let the lacing out quite a bit more than where I had it tied if I needed to; and the lacing is well-placed to allow you to adjust the fit to suit your frame. It's just a little loose in the breasts (but that's common for me with any clothing) but with the fabric being both thick and stretchy, it doesn't sag or look ill-fitting, and I doubt anyone outside my skin could tell. It's a "costume-quality" item, yes; but a very *high* costume-quality. The dress has a lovely weight, and it hangs nicely—thick enough to not bunch-up or over-emphasize all the human-imperfection of we non-peredhil wearing it! The sleeves will need to be ironed, since they show some wrinkles from being shipped, but I don't anticipate that being an issue; and even a little wrinkled as they are right now, they still have a great flow and length. The silver "embroidery" cuffs on the sleeves and around the neckline are the most "costumy" parts of the outfit, but even they aren't bad. And again: this is a basic costume-item, not a hand-embroidered piece costing hundreds of dollars, so very high quality for what I paid and nicer even than I hoped! (It's going to look so good when I put it on for real with my pointy ears and add my Evenstar.) *I will note that the silver cuffs do not have any stretch, so if you have very wide arms you might want to size-up (and hope that the sleeves get bigger as the dress does!) and count on tugging the laces in the back extra-tight to compensate; but I had no problems with them, and didn't find them tight or constricting at all. My upper arm is 13.5" around, for reference. Indeed, I have broad shoulders and often find clothing a little tight in the back, and this dress stretched nicely without any tightness there, too. The pocket isn't particularly useful, as anything you put in it will stick-out badly (unless I suppose you're very skinny, and the dress has a lot of excess fabric around the hips, maybe?) so don't plan for getting a lot of use out of that; but even so, it's nice to have it there for when and if you really need it. And it feels sturdy, and like it can actually hold things, unlike so many "pockets" in women's clothing, so that's nice! And I would always rather an outfit had a pocket, and then left it up to *me* whether or not I want to "ruin the line" of the garment by using it, rather than giving me no choice in the matter. If I could add a sixth star just for the inclusion of a pocket, I would! Genuinely could not be happier with this dress, I want to wear it everywhere and tell every elvellon I know to get one too. If this company ever comes out with a "requiem dress" version (the red-sleeved one, and my favorite of her dresses), I know I won't be able to resist buying one, even though it would be ridiculous to own two such outfits. Ridiculous—but wonderful!

The Drape of Ophelia
This dress is absolutely lovely and beautiful! I bought it in the green with pale yellow sleeves and will wear it with a flower crown to dress as Ophelia for Halloween. Size chart is right on. I’m 5’6”, bust 38”, hip 38, and size large fits perfectly. It’s very forgiving of those pesky midriff fat rolls. Dress is made of stretchy, heavyweight velvet, is not clingy, and the quality of the fabric is amazing. The sleeves are soft and flowy, as is the dress. SWIFTIE’s, stop scrolling and just buy this dress!
