Check the diagram in the instructions
Similar to most of the other reviewers, I wanted to replace my GFCI outlet not because it was not functioning but for the convenience of adding USB-A and USB-C outlets. In particular, I needed this in the kitchen to use under the cabinet lights with a 5V/2A USB plug. I also like the screw less wall plates which go well with similar plates that I have used for most of my light switches. The instructions for installation are surprisingly good and well written except I believe there are a couple of errors in the pictures. In the second and third photos attached to this review, you will see that the black wire is connected to the terminal marked WHITE/BLANC (white screws) while the white wire is connected to the terminal marked HOT/NOIR (brass screws). These pictures are based on installing the outlet with the ground pin above the live/neutral pins which, although not in code violation, is not typical unless the outlet is being controlled by a switch. If the ground is above, the LIVE terminals will be above the LOAD terminals while looking at the back of the outlet, but the black wires and brass screws would be on the left side and the white wires and white screws would be on the right side. I am not an electrician, and I might be wrong but NOT following these pictures has worked for me.The only other issue was that the screws are a little short which may be due to the fact that I was using this on a kitchen tile which meant that the outlet box is a little further away from the tile surface. Of course, I had the old screws from the previous outlet, and this was not a real problem especially since the wall plates nicely cover the visibly older screws.

Great if you need both
This is a great GFI outlet/USB charger combo and it is ETL listed, which means it is certified for user safety.

Doesn’t work
My contractor installed this and it was open hot, it was not working. I’d advise anyone to just buy a similar product from Lowes or Home Depot instead.

Great GFCI & charger!
Great charger!! I like this product quite a bit. I wired it up incorrectly to see what would happen. I put the hot wire in the line and the neutral into load. I turned my breaker on (I trust my modern electrical system) and the switch didn't come on at all! That's a great thing. I tried hitting the reset, but nothing happened. The manual states that if not wired up properly, it doesn't turn on at all. It worked exactly as advertised.Wired up properly, it works just as it should and passes the test with a tester. The USB C gives my phone a fast charge, and my USB analysis app gives the charger a green light. I plugged in a lower power input device to charge, and it charged at the proper current and rate. This appears well made and functions great. It was a snap to install. If I need another one, I'll get another one of these. I haven't heard of the brand but I looked up their ETL serial and it checks out. Easy five stars for this lil guy.

Overpriced, under performer
I ordered this this GFCI outlet specifically for the added USB-A and USB-C ports and to replace one that is lacking them. I often would need a USB output to charge up an electric shaver, aroma diffuser, soap dispenser etc...One option was to get rid of GFCI outlet and use one of the many standard ones that come with USB ports built-in. However, to keep in a compliance with code I had to have a GFCI outlet and this one seemed to be a good solution.Installation is straight forward as with any GFCI. Disappointment came when measuring the USB outputs as they appear to be very generic without any support for any of the advanced charging protocols, so no PD and not even QC2 nor QC2 to be expected out of this outlet which is a bummer.2 stars

Perfect to charge your toothbrush
Charging the toothbrush needed to happen in bathroom and I didn’t want a brick filling up one of the plugs. Saw this and jumped at the idea of replacing an existing outlet. This is a beefy outlet, it needs a deep box to fit. Wires can be wrapped around the screw or slide behind and screwed down. No stab and go option. Tightening down the screws for the wires did feel you could overtighten and strip the screws, I would love it if the screws were a step or two up the quality scale. Installation was easy due to better-than-average instructions. It has an LED light to indicate if it is tripped or in need of replacement. Nice feature. I was able to charge using both the USB a and c plugs.I would get this plug again.

Worked out for my needs
I saw this and thought it would be nice to have in the bathroom so I can charge my tooth brush. What a great device. It works as intended and is a very handy idea. The outlet fits in the existing deep electrical box with no issue. The directions are straight forward. My devices charged without issues. I can't verify the charge rate since I don't have the equipment for that. One thing that was interesting is when you trip the outlet it buzzes for a second then turns red to notify you its tripped. Once reset its green again.I like it and for the price the value is there for me.
