A necessity for travelling and packed theme parks!
I have to say, before becoming a parent, I was one of the people who scoffed and laughed at others using child leashes.Fast-forward to last Christmas, I initially bought it to use on a trip to the Philippines. My son was 2, rambunctious, and will not sit in a stroller or hold my hand when there are so many cool and colorful things to see! I used this only in the nicer malls, and kept the slack short, to give him a bit of a facade of freedom. It turned out to be a life saver before we ever even left the country, as I was travelling just with my son and was having issues with check in. I was stuck at the counter for a good half hour, and my son was not okay with sitting quietly in the cart, when there was this big new room aka the airport to explore. I was able to let him run around within a 2 foot radius, without having to simultaneously chase after him every 10 seconds while trying to talk to the check-in counter agent.Fast-forward again to today, we have friends from out of town, who wanted to go to Disneyland. This is the first time I get to take my son, and being almost three does not make him any less rambunctious, hyper, excited, wild and crazy about exploring the loud and colorful, new environment. Of course he's not going to accept being stuck in a stroller, which we are obligated to take him out of anyways bc you have to leave the strollers behind in designated areas when heading to a ride. So the handy dandy child leash saves the day again. We get to keep him happy, not hold him back (much), watch his eyes light up, watch him squeal with excitement while he runs 2 feet ahead of us, while not having to worry about him running too far ahead.Overall, keep the slack short and the "Toddler Safety Harness" will be a great tool in busy places.

Great idea but needs better reinforcements
I actually did purchase this based on the good reviews. The problem is, my 2 and 4 year old only played with the bungee cord, leading each other around the living room, for no more than a total of 30 minutes and the material is starting to fray. I’m disappointed in the amount of time it took for the product to fall apart. We haven’t even left the house with it. Also, the bungee cord ends are really thick and where the black loop is sewn around the ends of the bungee cords, they don’t look strong enough. I am afraid it will come loose as kids tend to pull hard sometimes and end up taking someone’s eye out. Well too bad this product can only be returned in unused condition, but how else do you know whether or not a product is good if you don’t take it out of its wrapper right? I wouldn’t recommend the bungee wrist straps. As for the mickey mouse harness, it seems to work ok so far. But the loop on the back of the harness where you connect the metal hook also looks like it needs better reinforcements. Especially if you have kids who like to pull. They may just pull hard enough and if it breaks, end up falling on the floor or worse, over a ledge? That’s my observation.

Cuter than most harnesses
I never thought I would put a harness on my kid...but the thought of taking my active 2 year old to Disney World without one gives me anxiety. I wanted to find one that was cute but also got the job done. This harness is adorable, appropriate for boys or girls, and is sturdy enough to keep them close by. I have not tried to included wrist to wrist harness, I am not sure I would like that one, but the Mickey harness goes on their chest and back and the "leash" attaches to it. I thought my girl would scream when I put it on her but she loved it because it was cute and when she gets to the end of the leash and it "catches" her she giggles like we're playing a game. Win/win for me!

Perfect
I bought this as my toddler is a runner and is obsessed with Mickey. As soon as it arrived he was in love and tried to put it on. He runs around the house with the harness on all the time, not even caring if the lead is still attached. We practiced using it a few times going up and down the street, and he seemed comfortable where the lead clips in when I pulled to stop him. It didn't jerk his shoulders or give him whiplash. It was great at this years parades for Mardi Gras, as he likes to try to join the bands as they pass.

Best Purchase for our Disney Trip
I was hesitant to purchase this, but I am so glad I did! I would buy it again and again for our Disney trip. If you have a toddler that likes to walk on their own or not hold your hand constantly in line, this is an absolute must. I love that you can easily detach the leash if needed for a picture or putting the toddler in the stroller. It's comfortable for them (my toddler was happy to put it on five days in a row) and really makes life at the park resort much happier for everyone. Several people at Disneyland asked us where in the park we bought it, and they were bummed that we brought it with us. (We didn't use the spiral cord wrist leash that is included, just the Mickey one)

Strong but light weightjust what we needed for an International trip
Easy to put on, light weight and sturdy. My daughter made no fuss putting it on and felt safe because she was getting a “hug” from Mickey Mouse. Great for busy airports and busy streets. My daughter is 3 and is tall for her age and it worked perfectly.

Disneyland!
Was totally THAT mom at Disneyland but both items worked well. The wrist bungy is a little long. We mostly used the backpack piece. Would definitely recommend it.
