REDMAGIC 10 Pro (16GB/512GB) – Snapdragon 8 Elite Gaming Monster with True Full-Screen 144Hz
Upgraded from my REDMAGIC 9 Pro+ (loved it, but this 10 Pro is a massive leap) and after 3 months of daily abuse – competitive PUBG Mobile tournaments, Genshin Impact marathons, Warzone Mobile streaming, and even some emulation – this thing is straight-up unbeatable for $649. Gaming Performance Snapdragon 8 Elite crushes AnTuTu at 2.7M+ scores, Geekbench 3,000 single/9,300 multi. Genshin Impact ultra 60FPS: 6.5+ hours straight, zero throttling thanks to the 23,000 RPM ICE-X turbofan + liquid metal cooling (stays under 43°C even in boss fights). CODM/Warzone Mobile at 120FPS max graphics: silky 144Hz, 520Hz shoulder triggers feel like PC peripherals. Emulation? PS2/Vita/Switch via AetherSX2 or Yuzu – 100% stable at 2x resolution. My ROG Phone 9 friends are jealous. Display 6.85" 1.5K AMOLED with 144Hz refresh, 2,000 nits peak – outdoor visibility is insane, colors pop (100% DCI-P3). Under-display camera (2nd gen 16MP) is flawless for selfies/streaming – ZERO notch distraction, true edge-to-edge gaming immersion. Touch sampling hits 2,500Hz in games. Battery & Charging 7,050mAh dual-cell beast: 14+ hours gaming runtime (GSMArena-tested), 17h mixed use. Full day of heavy gaming + streaming? 45% left. 100W wired fills it 0-100% in 35 mins (80W GaN brick included works great). No wireless, but who cares? Build & Features 229g metal frame + glass, IP54, feels premium (Dusk color hides fingerprints). RGB lighting + IR blaster + 3.5mm jack – yes please. Stereo speakers with Hi-Res audio are loud and bassy (though crank 'em carefully to avoid distortion). RedMagic OS 10 (Android 15) is buttery, Game Space mode kills bloat and optimizes everything. Camera (not the focus, but solid) 50MP OIS main + 50MP UW snap decent daylight shots/videos (8K@30). UDC selfies are sharp enough for TikTok. Don't buy this for pro photography – it's a gaming phone. Minor gripes Software promises 1 OS upgrade (fair for gaming phones), some pre-installed apps (easy delete). No eSIM (physical SIMs only), cameras oversaturate a bit in low light. For half the price of an S25 Ultra or ROG Phone 9 Pro, you get flagship+ gaming performance, the best battery in class, and a distraction-free screen. If mobile gaming is your life, pull the trigger – this is the new king. Already ordered the 24GB/1TB for my bro. 10/10, GG REDMAGIC. Worth every penny.

Spotty Signal if using Verizon, but a great phone overall
I've seen many reviews on this phone before I decided to buy it. I even knew about the spotty service for Verizon. I've had this phone for about 3 weeks and it's a great phone. When I'm gaming on certain games the back still stays pretty cool (at the time of writing its during the summer and its hot). The fan does help when you want the proccessor to stay cool. The OS is not bad, I had an S21 Ultra before switching to this and I had to relearn somethings. Both are android but the redmagic acts similar to an iphone's OS. You can of course change it in the settings to be similar to the s21u. Pros: Unlocked works with Verizon even though some say its not. Preinstalled screen protector Excellent battery life 80% can last up to a whole day of mixed usage, ie gaming, insta, using the browser, or watching videos. If you are using with not much gaming it can last up to 2 days Screen is pretty good, the samsung is brighter in lower levels but at max is just as bright. Color accuracy is also very good, almost identical to the s21u. Also has 144hz but resolution is lower than the s21u but I don't mind. If you care about the screen get the amoled version of the redmagic. Cons: Spotty signal with Verizon. I read that the best carrier for this phone is Tmobile but my family is on a Verizon plan so I don't intend to switch. I had to enable developer mode to keep the mobile data on and so far I haven't had any issues. Everything is google, ie phone for calling, messages, and gallery for photos. You can probably download other apps but I don't want to especially since a lot of third party app will have ads. Speakers are really low on default. Ringtones, alarms, notifications are pretty low volume despite having it on max volume. Using the default DTS app was able to make the volume for entertainment louder but not the ringtones or notis from what I've experienced. Edit: 9/14/25 Con: Receiving images (pics, screenshots, etc ) is terrible. It could be a variety of things that can cause this though. I tried everything in google messages to try to fix it but I was only able to fix it a little bit. What as an unreadable mess was now at least semi-readable. This happens on both android and iphone so it has to be the messaging app or could be my service provider. I get at least 30Mbps so it shouldn't cause any issues when receiving images because they should be that hard to download when receiving right? If this gets resolved in some way I will re-edit this post in a future update.

Great phone no major issues at all.
It's a great gaming and honestly does a lot of what it's advertised to do quite well there are a few quirks about it and some settings that an Android phone should have but after 1 month of usage I can honestly say that I do like and recommend this phone. The Main thing for me is the app drawer doesn't have a paginated style for you to choose. It's only vertical scroll without the ability to add/make folders except for on the home screen so navigating apps is really annoying unless you put them all on your home screen in folders. The battery life is absolutely next level, if I don't have demanding apps like Pokémon go with GPS and motion sensing running full time in the background I get 3 days of power without the need to charge and even with those apps running I see 1-1/2 to 2 days of battery life playing COD and Delta Force regularly. With 256 gb of memory I can't see you running out space on a cellphone but there is no expandable memory what you get is what you get and 16gb or ram is purely overkill for any android application point blank period. A lot of the negative that I have with the phone is really more personal preference but there are definitely quirks in certain apps Facebook marketplace being one of the main ones where on your recent searches where it shows x Plus items since you searched the text overlaps each other and I don't know if that's a phone thing because of the odd size of this custom screen or if that's the app once again not being optimized for the screen but it's definitely something to do with the display size and resolution. But one thing that I can say is that I'm extremely curious to see how long that fan is going to last in the device just from past experience in previous device usage built-in fans are usually the first thing to fail but I will admit while gaming this thing does an excellent job of expelling the Heat generated so even with the weird quirky issues and a lot of the non-existent functionality that does exist in other Android devices I still give it a five-star

Amazing but flawed
Amazing phone for mobile gaming, the only reason I gave it a four-star is because the cooling fan went out twice. The company offers a 6-month warranty which only covered the repair one time.

It's a beast and battery is insane
First off I'd like to thank Amazon, because despite this being a very expensive purchase they did not give me any trouble when I opened my box to find NO PHONE. Someone at UPS more than likely stole it unfortunately, at least that's what my delivery driver told me the next time I saw him 🤷♂️ Second I want to say I've had the phone for a little over 3 months to ensure I can properly review. So now onto the phone. One thing I'd like you to keep in mind reading this is that I bought this phone for 2 reasons, processing power and battery life. So my review is based on the two things that were important to me. Positive things This thing is a beast. I can play pretty much anything max settings without having it overheating because of the fans. Not only that but I'm a truck driver so this phone sits in the dash, where my other phones would overheat and die within a few hours while navigating. It does not have that issue. I can start my day at 75% charge, not charge it at all while navigating the entire time, and still have battery left over at the end of my trip. That's roughly 12 hours of screen on time which is extremely impressive. The other really cool thing is the 120 watt charging. I can go from 1% battery to 25% in roughly 5-10 minutes, but you have to have a 120watt charger for that (it comes with one). So 10 minutes of charging gives me roughly 4-6 hours more battery life. These were all the things that were important to ME. Potential downsides The camera is terrible. There's no way around it. The front facing camera is something I would compare to a flip phone in 2010. The rear facing is "good enough" if you don't want high quality photos. It also isn't water resistant because of the fan ports. These were not deciding factors for me personally but if you like to take pictures at pretty much any capacity I could see you being disappointed. Other than those things I honestly can't point out any other flaws. It's by far the best phone I've owned and when I want to upgrade I'll just get the newer version of this phone.

No call recorder or option to unlock the bootloader like its competitors is a dealbreaker.
This is a gaming phone I just bought hoping to replace my old Asus gaming phone, which is breaking down after 6 years. I prefer gaming phones because they tend to have a huge battery and nicer screen, even compared to flagships. My Asus phone had a 120hz display years before Google Pixel added it, and this phone has a 144hz screen. My Asus has a 6000mAh battery, this phone claims 7050mAh. The Google Pixel 9 has a weak 4700mAh for comparison. I like to be able to forget a night of charging and not worry about it. My old Asus has built-in call recording, which I need for my job. Most of the Chinese phones have it too, such as the Blackview brand. I was surprised to find this phone does not. On top of that, Google blocks the Android OS from allowing third-party apps to record both sides of the call without "root" (administrative access) functionality. My Asus phone gave official support to unlock the bootloader and gain root access to the phone (by agreeing to run an app that reports the IMEI and permanently forfeits the warranty, but still it is nice to have the option). This brand told me on customer support that they have no plans to add a call recording feature, and they do not allow unlocking the bootloader to gain root access either. It is too bad, because my T-Mobile and AT&T sim cards both worked in a dual-SIM configuration, and the hardware on this phone is great. It would have been a nice value, but it is completely locked down. Google controls the operating system, and you're completely at Google's whim for whatever else they might want to restrict in the future. This is also a huge problem because this Red Magic brand only promises one (1) major OS update. Google Pixel promises 7 updates. If you're investing all this money in a phone, and the manufacturer only wants to give it a single update then wash their hands of any more functionality or security updates, it is critical that they at least allow the bootloader to be unlocked, so the community can make ROMs and take the matter into their own hands. If they ever add call recording and bootloader unlock, I'd consider this a 4-star phone. There's no excuse when their main competitor has those features on their newest phone. If Red Magic would promise a few more years of updates, I'd consider it 5 stars. As it is, I have no choice but to send it back.

Best phone for gaming
Let me first say that I love this phone. I love it very much. It makes me happy to hold it and look at its beautiful screen and feel it purr in my hands as it breathes quietly in the twilight. I have had a RM9, RM10, and just received my new RM10s. I’m officially a fanboy. That, however, will not affect my judgement, as it is harsh. Everything this phone does right, it does really right. Like, super-duper, extra effing right. Build quality, battery, screen, processor, all these things are top tier. The shoulder buttons are incredible, although they can take some getting used to if you’re not already comfortable gaming on a phone screen. Truly my only complaint is the software. There’s not a whole lot of bloatware pre installed but there is enough to make me take notice. And the ZTE spam you can’t delete is infuriating to me. One thing to mention that is subpar and noticeably lacking is the speakers. I personally don’t use my phone’s speakers for anything. If I’m watching/playing/talking it’s in earbuds or a headset. If your phone’s speakers are important to you, you’re a bad person. No one wants to hear what you’re playing/watching/listening to. You’re a bad person and everyone judges you. This phone is not for bad people. This phone is for the good people who just want to game on the go. That’s not a crime. If you’re a good person, buy this phone. (Or the new RM10s)

A Gaming Powerhouse with Thoughtful Features
I've been using the Redmagic 10 Pro for a week now, and I must say, it's an exceptional device that caters perfectly to both gamers and everyday users. Here's what I thought stood out: Pros: - No Camera Bump: The rear camera sits flush with the back, giving the phone a sleek and uniform design. It's refreshing not to have a huge camera module protruding out the back. - Invisible Front Camera: The under-display front camera ensures an uninterrupted, full-screen experience, making gaming and media consumption more immersive. It makes me mad how flagships are charging such high prices with huge notches and camera cutouts (looking at you Apple,Samsung, and Google especially Google with the massive circular cutout, super unnecessary). - 3.5mm Headphone Jack: In an era where headphone jacks are disappearing, it's fantastic to have this feature for high-quality, wired audio without the need for adapters. My Sony Xm5s died during a flight and oh guess who saved the day, the headphone jack did :D - Built-in Cooling Fan: Honestly one of the coolest part of the phone, the built-in fan keeps the device cool during intensive gaming sessions and fast charging. Honestly impressive how well it manages temps. One thing I'm scared of though is dust build up in the future. - Pre-applied Screen Protector & Included Case: Out of the Box, the phone comes with a screen protector already applied and a high-quality case, saving time and additional expenses on accessories. - 80W Fast Charging with Quality Cable: The included 80W charger and premium USB-C cable charge the massive 7,050 mAh battery incredibly fast. I can go from 0% to 100% in just a little over 40 minutes, I've never been happier to let my phone die knowing I can charge it back up real quick. - Performance: What can I say, the Snapdragon 8 Elite is a god. Wish it had 16GB of ram but oh well, 12GB is enough. Not complaining at 800$. - Display: The 6.85 inch AMOLED display with a 144hz refresh rate is stunning... 144hz? Even the iPhone 16 at a similar price point only offers 60hz and this offers 144hz... For 800$? Damn. Cons: - Software Quirks: While the hardware is top-notch, the software could use some refinement. There are occasional bugs, and the dreadful RTT fall only, Jesus that was painful, to fix it I had to change my preferred network to 3G in the settings by going to mobile data then preferred network type, and then go to the phone app settings (where you make phone calls), disable RTT and then change my preferred network back to 5G... A Pain. A problem you won't get with Apple for sure. - Camera performance: The cameras are decent but not flagship-level. They perform well in good lighting, but struggle in low light conditions. The front camera is especially atrocious making you look ugly in your selfies, while the main back camera makes you look like an actual person💀. Conclusion: Sorry this was a long read, but at $800, the Redmagic 10 Pro offers unparalleled value, especially for mobile gamers. The combination of thoughtful hardware features, like the no camera bump, headphone jack, and built-in cooling, along with the inclusion of essential accessories, makes it a standout choice. If you're looking for a high performance phone that doesn't compromise on gamer-centric features, this is the one to get.
