Ultra High Capacity 'Intelligent' Lithium-Ion Battery Compatible with Canon VIXIA HF G40/50/60/70

This seemed like a good option, until I was shooting and the camera kept shutting down. Ends up these are not made the correct size and any movement up or down causes power to shut off, and corrupt your footage. Stay clear of this one

Finally found a 'generic' battery that actually works with my Canon G40. The camera shows the battery life at 236 minutes on its first full charge. Not sure yet what the actual life will be, but at least I do not get the error message that the battery is not compatible with the camera (which is what happened with cheaper alternatives found here that claimed to be compatible.) I wish this battery was cheaper so I could buy more of them, but at least it's still $100 less than what Canon wants for the name brand battery they offer.

Battery works great and the price isn't bad.
