Pet ID Tag - Cats or Dogs Easy to use

I got two of these tags, one for each of my cats, and overall, I like them. They are small, lightweight, and neither cat appeared to notice the addition to their collar. The form that came preloaded on the tag was easy to fill out, and it had spaces for all of the information that I would want to provide.I didn't give this product five stars because one of the two tags came without the preloaded form - the drive was just blank. I ended up downloading a copy of the form from their website, but I could have just as easily copied the blank form over from the other tag. Still, even for an inexpensive product, I expected it to be as advertised.The only other thing I could see making this better would be having a space where you could write your phone number on the tag. Even though most people know what to do when they see something labeled USB, it would just be easier to have my main phone number in a place that doesn't require someone to have a computer. I ended up leaving my cats' old tags on their collars, too, just to cover all my bases.

this product is a good idea to have but my keyhole ring on the plastic broke after 6 months of use. it also was hard to update info as well.

We bought Pro-Tek tags for our cats a few years ago at a pet store. It took just a minute or two to load in the data initially. The tags are small and weigh next to nothing, and we like that. They are also affordable and do-it-yourself, so no waiting for an engraver. And no need to buy a new tag when you move!We did just moved, so we had the need to update our two cats' ID tags. The tags looked like new, although they'd been worn 24/7 for over 3 years. We popped them into the USB and 10 minutes later, their info was updated in both Word and PDF and back on their collars.This really has been the perfect low-cost solution for us. Our cats are allowed outside into enclosed areas, but we always worry they'll run off someday, and these tags make us feel that if they did, we'd get a call with good news, or at least know if the news were not so good.Perhaps the buyer whose tags were detached could take a look at the dogs' collars and the rings used to attach the tags to the collars to see if this is the problem. Perhaps all byers should. If the ring won't stand up to an active, outside animal, the Pro-Tek can't serve its intended purpose. But in our experience, the device, itself, is sound.

Great idea, easy program to follow when entering your pet's vital information, but this is the poor man's microchip. The problem I had was I ordered 2, one for each of my dogs, and both of them cracked in less than 6 months where the hole attaches to the mini keyring. Found one on the couch, and the other outside in the lawn. I believe two things caused this problem. 1) The edge distance to the holes center is too shallow, meaning there isn't much material for the keyring to hang on to. 2) The type of plastic used may have simply weathered, since it is used wherever the dog goes, and contributed to the crack. Save your money, find something more durable!!

Not uber robust but does just what it says. This is basically a usb flash drive which holds information on your pet and you. I bought a tradition tag and asked the finder to place this tag in their usb to ensure proper usage.

Great idea, would rather see some flexibility in what can be put on it. Had to use creativity to explain that we are touring the country and extra contact info.

Loved the idea but they didn't last. They should go back to the drawing board on this and find a way to protect the strips of the usb. I will admit they lasted about a month and I really, really liked the idea, but won't waste anymore money on this.Sorry

Worked as promised. Updated with Pet info. Looks like the ID Tag has capacity (storage) to hold more than just the file.
