Not so easy for an 8 year old
It has many many pieces and I don’t know that my 8 year old will ever finish this! Definitely needs to go up on the age!! A 6 year old would have to be genius to do this lol.

Great techniques
I love this set. It's very interesting to put together and they use some interesting techniques of connecting different parts. And of course it's Lego compatible.

detailed - takes time to build it but its fun and a great set!
This set is so detailed and fun to build! The spaceship and robot are my son’s favorite parts, and the compatibility with other building blocks is a bonus.

I put this together with my son so he could have more buildings for his town and it was relatively easy. The pieces stayed attached pretty well and it looks really nice once done. We didn't have any missing pieces and the instructions were clear. This set is a good deal for the price (currently about $24).

Generic Legos that just don’t hold well for play. Display only.
The media could not be loaded. I was aware that these were not name brand legos, but I gave them a try. Yes there is a difference. It’s an awesome set! Don’t get me wrong. But they pieces do not stay snapped together well at all. My son actually likes to play with legos after building them. This one is for sure a display only. Every time you touch it something pops off. They are just too loose, or don’t fit together perfectly, or something is off. It is super cool if you plan to just use it for looks, but they do not build or play the same.
