Mixed Feelings
I just got Bumpits today, There are so many angry or gushing reviews on HSN I had to try them out. First I have to say that I have fine fine medium blonde hair, but I have a lot of it so I didn't have any problems covering the Bumpit or having it show through my hair. I can see where if you have very thin hair it would be a huge problem. Also the Bumpits are made of a shiny plastic, hence if you don't do a good job covering them I could see where you would be able to see the shiny material. Now they give you three different size Bumpits and I tried them all.1.) Mini bumpitsI still have yet to master the poof bangs. I think it's because my hair is so straight that it looks funny with the top poofed but the sides hanging. But it looks really cool when I put my hair into a ponytail with a mini bumpit for the bangs.2.) Medium bumpitsThese were my favorite I was able to put my hair half up/ponytail/down with a headband with these and I liked the way it looked. It didn't actually look too fake like I thought it would, just a little more volume.3.)Rock star bumpitThis is my least favorite one and to be honest the only time I could see someone wearing this monster of a bumpit is going to a highschool dance or prom. Not for clubbing or girl's night out. When I put it in I felt like a true 1960's girl who just walked out of a hair salon and used 3 cans of spray. Whoever wears these out on a day to day basis is definitely brave. So having said that I gave these items a lower review because of the price. With shipping and handling I paid $30 for them. They are at Sally's (If they have them in stock) for about $25 but I still feel like it was a little waste of my money. I would have loved to just buy one medium one and one mini one for around $10 and not have had two of each and a Rockstar bumpit. If you and your friend (same colored hair of course) want to go halfies on it, it would definitely be worth the money. You would just have to rock paper scissors for who is the unlucky one who gets the Rockstar.

They work but they're a pain to use.
These work, but they're a pain to use. Particularly, if your hair isn't super thick.

Worked great. A TIME SAVER! Stayed in really great and was easy to repeat for several styles each day. Used for dance recitals.

Junk
These do not work, even with back combing and spraying they do not stay in place and they are so small that it just looks like a little very obvious bump in your hair that does not belong there. Would not recommend.

Unsatisfied
Picture shows four mini bump its. When I recieved in the mail they came in various sizes which isn't what I wanted. Disappointed! No description stating multi sizes so the assumption was made based on the pic that I

Awesome!
My hair is thick and heavy, and it's always flat on top unless I use velcro rollers and a ton of hairspray, and even then it falls flat. These inserts TOTALLY hold up your hair, give awesome volume with no teasing, and it stays in place! If you gently remove it it will not get tangled in your hair. I wear these almost every day! The best!

I have very thick hair and they still don't work
I got Bumpits as a joke for Christmas, and decided to give them a try since I had them to try. It seems most of the complaints about Bumpits are about how they're hard to conceal with fine hair. Well I have very thick hair, and even *I* can't get the sides of the Bumpit fully concealed. On the sides of the Bumpit, the hair either needs to be wedged into the teeth to stay up which makes the teeth show through, or the hair falls down on the sides and looks strange. It works fine if you have the hair pulled back, but looks odd with hair down. And I can't imagine this product working AT ALL if you don't have pretty darn thick hair, in which case, it'd be just as easy to just tease the hair. I don't think this product does anything that teasing can't do just as effectively, except for the "Hollywood Bumpit" which looks really ridiculous anyway.
