Don’t be dissuaded, this is a fantastic work table.
Some people are having trouble with this table so here are some tips, because I find it to be fantastic for daily work, and it allows me to make jewelry comfortably from my recliner, as you can see. Firstly you’re looking at a right side table. Mine did not slide under far enough to reach the base of my recliner as shown in the third photo. But this was easily fixed by adding a mere10 pound dumbbell to the back of the base. I keep the heavier items on top of the support column for the table, but even if I wanted to put them on the end, it’s a remarkably sturdy table. I have knocked into this thing so many times and it has not tipped over, as long as I have that dumbbell on the base. Raising and lowering it can be a little tricky, but the best suggestion I can give is to make sure you keep the table top completely perpendicular to the floor, otherwise it will not go up and down smoothly. Some might go easier than others but when assembling this I managed to lose the instructions under the chair and I accidentally yanked the table top right out of the support column, and it took me a good 20 minutes to get it back in. DON’T DO THAT! I had tried to follow a video made by a similar table sold on Amazon, but the construction is not the same. Be careful when you stand up, especially if your recliner is a rocker, because you can accidentally knock your drink off if you’ve pulled your table close to the arm. That actually hasn’t happened more than once though because as I said, it’s a very sturdy table. I added a non-slip rubber mat to the top of mine which I cut out after chalking the edges, then laying the mat down on top, and cutting on the outline. And lastly, I put a towel over the arm of my chair just to protect it, because there is a small nut attaching the table top to the arm, and even though it’s not sharp it will definitely scratch the leather over time. Hope this helps.

well made and worth it
It’s a perfect addition for surgery recovery. It’s sturdy and well made. Yes, it’s more than the other offerings. We bought three and there is no comparison - its far superior

Durable. Easy setup. Works great. Saves space
Was not happy with the price. But after two years of use and abuse, happy to report it was worth it!

Serious Design Flaws the Mfgr Doesn't Address or Warn About
Just 'Ok' nothing more... 3-stars as an Adjustable Height Table/Tray for the following reasons. Take note that 1-side of your chair will be sitting on the steel floor plate, while the other side remains on the floor. You should raise the other side to match the height if you are using this on a lift chair, if you don't you significantly risk damaging the screw drive mechanism that raises & lowers your chair...The chair absolutely should be level on any up/down powered chair, if its not, serious damage can and probably will occur. As soon as we set our chair up on this 'Adjustable Tray Assembly', I placed a level across its two arms and saw the chair was extremely out of level. I used two heavy duty 'stacked' sliders under each of the 2-legs opposite the floor plate - which made the chair level, but is not a permanent fix. Table Tray is adjustable in up/down height but it is 'sticky' and takes some effort to lower it, especially if you are already sitting. If you are an elderly lady or a slightly handicapped male with a bad arm be aware of this. Also be sure to choose which side you want this tray to be mounted on to swing. I really think they should have run a steel plate all the way across the front and only 1/2 the distance toward the back of the chair for added stability (but definitely not underneath a rear leg as it is now). For the cost, I think its borderline as far as being worth it, just be aware of these drawbacks. We're purchasing a 1/4" steel plate 10" wide by 24" long to place under both legs on the opposite side so the chair sits permanently stable on all 4-legs. the doubled floor sliders are definitely not going to last very long. Seems like we spent a lot of money only to have to spend more $$ to make it work the way it should have been built. One more issue, the vinyl edging applied all the way around the tray sticks up higher than the tray surface, and the edging is VERY SHARP, so if you tend to rest your arm hand on the dge as I do, you will not be happy or satisfied about this condition. I intend to take a single edge razorblade and trim the backside and 1/2 of each side...Jeeez, for the cost of this unit, we are practically re-building it to work the way it should from the Mfgr! Again...just be aware of what you're buying and be prepared to spend some addl $$ + TIME + FRUSTRATION to make it work properly.

Almost perfect
We needed an over-recliner and over-bed table for my elderly father to use during mealtime. Unfortunately, the vertical pole that allows the table to pivot out of the way is too near the operation buttons of our recliner. This frustrates my father when he bumps his knuckles trying to open and shut the footrest of the recliner. Note in the product images that the floor plate is not completely flat. This interferes with the wheels of our electric lift when trying to transfer him. The lift wheels cannot roll smoothly around the chair because of the metal hump on the floor plate. We often have to move the table which is heavy to complete transfers. I am debating on returning the product for these reasons and trying a table that is n shaped and can roll over the chair and bed more easily. If we didn't use a lift, we may be able to use the table on the opposite side of the chair controls, but at this time we have to do a lot of improvising to have the table. It is a well made sturdy piece of equipment, but it simply does not work well with our current situation.

Pleasantly surprised
This table solved a Litany of problems I've been having. It has made me more independent, as I am Mobility challenged. It's been years since I've been able to sit at a regular table to eat food. I always have to eat in my lap and I have a terrible time with trays. I am able to swing this to the perfect spot in order to eat, drink, use my phone and tablet comma. I use a sticky mat to keep things from sliding off, including a small box of things I keep on the table permanently, medications, Etc. The table does swing a full 360 Degrees all the way around and the weight of my chair holds the metal platform in place. There is no fear of it tipping because the metal plate is so large that even when my chair shifts around a bit there is no way it will shift off of the metal tray. I have searched far and wide for something this flexible. The height is also adjustable and is low enough for me, which is typically a very hard to find. Most tables are much higher. I am 5'4 and this suits me perfectly. It is also very easy to Pivot forward and back. Therefore getting up is not a huge chore. Being able to move this table on my own has freed up so much Independence. I am incredibly thankful to this company. The table is even large enough that I can have coffee or breakfast with someone else.

Sigh............
I got this product thinking I finally found something that would fulfill my needs. Sigh....... First off, let me say that the concept is commendable. I like the overall design and mechanics of it. It's simple to use and if received undamaged, which mine was, will work for many people. Alas, for me, this item still does not deliver what I needed. As with the other product I used, the table does not come over the chair far enough to completely cover my lap. I guess blame that one on the size of my chair but I thought with a table tap that is 30" across it would come across further. All my measurements indicated it would, but it does not. And don't get me started about the instructions because it was useless. I got more from the Youtube video and even that one got some things wrong. So buyer beware. Make sure you measure things correctly and ensure it will suffice. Me? I'm going to try and find a longer table and see if I can make it work. But for now, it's another wasted $200.

Awful and broken
Awful. I purchased and it was sent broken and taped. The top table had a chunk out of it and blue painters tape covering it. Even if you purchased used it should not be damaged.
