These do no have a metallic taste at all! They are great for the yeti cup!

Hi,These straws will fit in the lid of the 30oz yeti cups, these straws are 8.5" they will stick out of the lid with enough room to sip on the 30 oz. We also have a longer version of this straw available if you would like even more length ! CocoStraw 10.5" for Yeti Cups. They are the same diameter that fits the yeti lid, but longer in length - 10.5" . If it is a Yeti lid it should fit. I have a small and large stainless cup and it fits both lids.

Q: Are these a smaller inside and outside diameter straw as opposed to the ones referred to as wide for smoothies. I have wide, but want narrow.

Yes, these are narrow. A little smaller than a regular fountain straw.
