This book has an amazing collection of well-known and well-loved nursery rhymes that will delight children, parents, grandparents and anyone who loves words that rhyme, entertaining characters and beautiful artwork.The illustrator, Axel Scheffler of Gruffalo fame, has done a great job of weaving a 'Mother Goose' story through the collection of verses. She has three goslings and they get into trouble every now and then as the reader turns the pages. I wondered if this would work at first but the goose family becomes an engaging diversion.I was impressed by the sheer number of nursery rhymes included in the collection. One of my favourites as a child was 'Horsey, Horsey' and as soon as I spotted it in the 'Contents' list, I knew I had to purchase it.Our daughter and son-in-law are delighted with this book. They know it will delight their little girl, our dear granddaughter, for years to come.

I love Axel Shefler's illustrations so when I saw this book, I ordered it immediately. Brilliant book, all your nursery rhymes in one place and a great narrative connecting them all. Kids love it and so do I.

I was really disappointed in this Nursery Rhyme Book. The illustrations are kept to the minimum and not a lot to keep a small child interested. In comparsion to books I have purchased a long time ago, for my own children this just does not come close. Will now have to re-look for a more illustrated book.
