Directed Audio Essentials 9474T Opt Remote For Ps3000

Purchased this for my father's VSS3000.It included the remote and the antenna that were required to by his Smart Start, since it did not support key fobs out of the box.Installation was pretty easy once we figured out where the installers had placed the box at. The cable for the antenna is fairly long, and allowed us plenty of length to place the antenna wherever we wanted. My father says the range is pretty good, and he particularly likes that it unlocks all 4 doors on his car at once, unlike his factory keyless entry.The * button in the middle triggers the remote start, while the 'Aux' button pops his trunk.The included instructions were sufficient to install this, but I felt they were pretty sparse, and honestly I would have appreciated some pictures showing where things plugged in, and what the box we were looking for might look like.

Exactly what I wanted but had to pay $100 to have it connected.

I had to buy this because the smart start doesn't work 25% of the time. I will never buy a smart start remote starter again.

I had a cs3000 smart start system installed on my car a while back. I found the smart phone feature unreliable. Wouldn't work all the time. The system didn't come with a remote/fob. Directed wanted $100.00 for this. Amazon had it for under $40.00. Much happier with system now.

Remote worked great! Only downside is distance. Easy to install and program. Price point was unbelievable. Stereo shop wanted to charge me $100 bucks to install and program.
