nice arrows, but could use better packaging from factory
bought 2 packs, great arrows. 3 of them showed up with the fletchings bent. So 3 are useless to hunt with. But they fly great for the remaining.

Super quality bolts, straight pure carbon shafts, nice fletching, 85 grain field tips.
The bolts arrived well packed, and the feathers were not bent or damaged. Out of the box they are properly set up for modern crossbow rests with the index fletching points upward. You can easily adjust the nock position with pliers by simply rotating it or replace damaged ones with spare nocks included just in case you break any (I haven't broken a single nock yet), which is a very nice bonus. That said, I'm highly impressed with the overall quality of the bolts and tips. The fletching on each arrow is made of soft plastic and glued perfectly straight, which is rare in such pre-made bolts. These bolts seem to be much better than the regular practice bolts I was buying before. The description says "pure carbon" and I can confirm that these are indeed made of carbon. The bolt tips are simple field tips that arrived in a separate plastic bag. Note that the plastic bag with the tips fell off of the packaging with bolts and was loose in the shipping box - be careful not to throw it away in trash with the empty packaging! The bolt tips have a rubber o-ring at the base of their shaft, which is done to guarantee a snug fit and to prevent unscrewing of the heads from the shafts. Friendly speaking, I don't think it will work so instead of relying on it I removed the o-rings and simply added a drop of blue thread locker on each tip threads as I always do. The tips are very well made and are perfectly aligned with the shaft when it is in place. The tips weigh about 5.5 grams each, which is exactly 85 grains as advertised. The shafts are 24.6 grams, which is almost 380 grains also as advertised. The bolt's length is exactly as advertised, 22 inches. It is 22.75 inches long if measured from the tip to the base of the nock. And it is 23.00 inches long if measured from the tip to the end of the nock. The shaft itself is measured exactly 22 inches long without the head and the nock. See attached photos.Bottom line:Yes, I do recommend these BALLISTA crossbow bolts without hesitation. For my practice with a crossbow these will work just fine. They probably will work for hunting as well, though I don’t hunt these days. They are well made, super straight with a straightness of 0.003, provide exceptional durability and accuracy, have excellent fletching, and come with quality field tips. Nocks and tips can be easily replaced if needed. Everything is fine about them, no complaints. I'm giving it 5 stars without hesitation!Pros:1. Very well-made overall.2. Straight and strong pure carbon shafts.3. Nice straight fletching.4. Nocks can be rotated and replaced.5. Include 6 field tips.6. Excellent for practice and hunting.7. Shoot very well.Cons:1. A bit pricey but worth it.

No bueno
I shoot my cheap Chinese made bolts with my Ballista Megabat Reverse and can hit a 3 inch pattern at 40 yards consistently. When I shoot these i can't hit the target and they consistently go about 12 inches left.

Great practice bolts
Practice, practice, practice, makes for a good shot in the field. While I'm sure these probably would make good field bolts I purchased them for use in practice as I hate shooting my expensive bolts repeatedly into a static target. I've shattered a few back when I used to compound bow hunt, so I'm even more careful when it comes to crossbow bolts due to the increased force behind each launch. These more or less matched the weight of my hunting bolts so their trajectory is very similar. I've shot both just to test this theory and almost identical flight paths out to 70 yrds which is about the longest shot I'd safely try to take with a crossbow. The bolts seem to be very well constructed and I haven't had an issue yet out of 30-40 launches each. Overall if you're looking for a nice set of bolts for practice or hunting I don't think you can go wrong with these. Make sure to weigh them as there was a little variation between bolts. Mine were all close enough, but just confirm it before you take them out to shoot.

Solid crossbow bolts
I picked up a crossbow earlier this year which only came with 3 shots which don't offer a whole lot of shooting before having to go recover your bolts. These came across my feed and I just had to get them. They are very well built and have held up perfectly well for dozens and dozens of shots so far. The vanes haven't came loose. The inserts solid. I would definitely recommend grabbing a pack and they're very good quality.

Nice bolts - Some inconsistencies
These are really nice looking bolts. They seem very well made. This is the fourth set of bolts I acquired since I purchased my crossbow. I learned I cannot assume that every bolt in a set will shoot consistently with itself or with its mates. Some bolts shoot the exact same spot every time. Others shoot 3-4" groups. Some keep tight groups but do not hit the same spot as others in a set. When I shot the six with field points, they were quite consistent. At 25 yards, the grouping was about 3" for all six. When I changed to a Rage practice point and lighted nocks, and moved the target to 30 yards, the group was about 5". However, the large spread was mostly due to three of the bolts. Three others shot very consistently with themselves and each other. I will be hunting with those three bolts which together grouped about 2.5".I have gotten used to receiving sets of bolts which contain some I will not use. I recommend that anyone purchasing bolts shoot each bolt multiple times and compare where it hits and its group size to its mates.
