I went for the 1 Litre version as I was travelling to Egypt. I was concerned about the dark blue colour being an issue with cold retention. This bottle has gone above and beyond my expectations. It is the first thermal bottle/flask/etc. That I would repurchase for any purpose. I'd fill the bottle with really cold water early in the morning, and sometimes the night before due to early rises. The water temperature was kept cold theoughout the day up until the evenings, even in the hot Egyptian sun (end of August, some days were almost 40° Celsius). The exterior of the bottle being dark blue meant the outside would get extremely hot, but you can tell it's a good quality insulated bottle by how long the drink remained cold inside. The lids are not insulated, and this helps heat escape more than the cold does. An example of this happened last night. I had made a full bottle of lemongrass tea to take outside in the evening (32° Celsius), had about 3/4's of it, and left the remainder in my bedroom overnight with a 15-20°C Air Conditioner on. I made the tea over 12 hours ago, and I am drinking the rest now. It is slightly colder than lukewarm, which for me shows the impressive heat retention of this bottle. The blue colour is nice, and the exterior shell seems durable, even though it seems to be some sort of plastic composite or plastic coated metal. The size was appropriate for the amount of cold electolyte water I needed, and it fit in both my travel backpack and the rubber pocket in my larger backpack with ease. I fully recommend this bottle be purchased. I thought 1 litre would be overkill but for me it's just the right size for travel and day-to-day life. The bottle is vacuum insulated which means it is larger, so keep it in mind when buying. I have not used the other 3 nozzles/tops, but the one I did served all purposes.

I realy think these are a good thing too have , I have a few different ones and this one seems solid. I cant really measure the vacum levels but it seems too be pretty well insulated and is holding ice as well as I expect but not as well as the best of the best. That is rare though so I do not consider that a fault. To do so would be akin too faulting a car for not going 400kph. Yes, some do but its not too be expected. I found it has a nice selection of tops a few like the cup top and the bottle top are fine but did not suite my taste as I have lil ice cubes that can escape. So I ended up using the default flip top. its the long skinny one. It seals easily and does not chug since it has a pin hole vent. Really I have no complaints here. I do like the handles though too explain why is a bit tough. They all have them yet I find the feel of these is a bit more natural. The Stainless top is a rather nice addition as well, it looks too have some insulation space and adds a bit of style . I never thought I would be pictureing tomato soup, ice fishing and using the word style simultaneously, but the day has finally come. I tried the leak test which Is often a fail and even with the vented flip top an it passed. Speaking of which the straw does not interfear either . So All good. It is on par insulation wise with other good brands I buy. I like the tops slightly better. It seems a good value, and no leaking. Go for it.

I was impressed by the size and the accessory lids when I first unpacked this. It seemed to have everything I could have wanted in an insulated water bottle. Attractive matte black finish, too. But the real question is how well will it maintain temperature of the contents? I decided to put it to the (non-scientific) test. At 9:10am, I filled it halfway full with bullet shaped ice from my ice maker, then filled the bottle with 75° F tap water, put the straw lid on it, closed it up, gave it a shake, then using my instant read thermometer, checked the temp of the contents: 38° F. Put it on the kitchen counter, room temp 70° F, in front of a south-facing window and left it. At 11:10am the water was 37.2° F at 1:10pm it was 34° F (slowly melting ice brought down the temp) at 1:15pm, I set it outside, air temp about 74° F, in full sun hitting that matte black finish at 4:20pm water temp was 35° F, outside of the thermos was quite warm at 6:00pm, water temp was still 35° F, outside was still quite warm At this point, I decided 8 3/4 hours was long enough to show the capabilities of this. Never once did the exterior temperature reflect the much lower internal temperature. Granted, I didn't really put it in a really hot environment, and I didn't test it with hot contents, but it seems to me for most thermos- type uses, this one meets the challenge and then some. Recommended.

Excellent temperature control; stable base so it doesn't fall over; it doesn't leak either – AT ALL. That is, as long as you remember to flip the straw down before lying it down in your bag. (Yes, I did that). It feels very strong – as if it will take some real knocks, but having all the extra lids means even if one gets damaged you have more to replace it. All of them work well, all look good and function perfectly, but the plain, simple screw top lid is well made, strong and looks great. In fact, I think this lid makes the bottle look very elegant (and expensive!). This lid has a soft, strong and flexible ring to attach it to the bottle, so it should stay with the bottle for a long time to come. All of the lids with plastic components are fitted well and not at all flimsy – it would be a surprise to find out that they are ever broken in ordinary use. The colour and feel of the bottle instantly suggests quality; rich and strangely tactile for a plain paint finish, it does its job well and looks good too. The colour appears to be of a type that will not flake off like those I’ve had previously; it sort of feels thick, which is an odd description I know, but it does. The rectangular straw-type lid felt a strange to drink from, nothing like I had tried before, and I immediately changed it – then tried all the others, but it surprised me to find that later the flip up straw became my favourite. And did I say it doesn't leak?

Good item, but the orange cap is a bit too bright and looks a bit cheap. Go for the black one.
