UUQ 1x40mm Reflex Sight, 4MOA Red&Green Dot Sight, Waterproof and Shockproof Gun Sight with 5-Level Brightness, Fits 20mm Rails

Excellent as finder for my large, angled spotting scope on my custom mount. Rather than using either an inexpensive but flimsy telescope RDF with an unsolved mount solution to find, or alternatively, a somewhat expensive telescope/binocular RDF with special angled 11mm dovetail mount designed for spotting scopes, I improvised. I spent time researching, designing, and assembling an elegant and sturdy base to position under and beside the spotting scope that has been mounted directly onto a heavy duty video tripod. I incorporated a few versatile camera cheese plates, some picatinny rails, and adjustable Picatinny riser of appropriate lengths and designs, neoprene fender washers, rubber washers, appropriate metric M-lock bolts and washers, imperial bolts and washers. All parts were readily available through Amazon, and just required quite a bit of measuring and focused homework to figure it all out without wasting time or money on simple mistakes. The result is my newly created metric/imperial/picatinny/camera Frankenstein mount. The cherry on top is this 1× 40mm UUQ red dot sight with a nice, versatile Weaver/Picatinny-rail-friendly base design. So, for just a nominally larger investment in reasonable cost coupled with a challenging-but-rewarding investment in research and homework time, I now have one awesome, sturdy RDF sight and custom versatile base that can be adjusted, switched, modified, improved, etc. with my spotting scope or for other purposes, including astrophotography. One component to stay in the mix is this excellent UUQ 40mm red dot sight. Ignore mistaken reviews that: (1) confuse the reviewer's own astigmatism with a clear red dot; and (2) confuse the fundamental design of a RDF that requires an angled internal front lens to properly direct the beam into the line of sight. The lens is offset with specific purpose; not due to inferior build quality. The build quality and performance of this RDF sight is awesome for its reasonable price. It is certainly a great deal! Not bad sight for the price but not the most versatile when changing distance and elevation in the field because you have to take the caps off in order to use a tool instead of simply making them adjustable like the dot brightness knob. Wish they would've at least put distance reference markings in the sight. This definitely makes my new toy look cooler, making me want to buy more embellishments for it so I'm satisfied with my purchase.

I love how this red dot scope fits perfectly on my AR, Easy to set up too.. Sorry to say it didn't holed up well after putting a couple of rounds threw it.

I put this on my turkey gun, and after 1 shot the inside lense was dislodged (as you can see in the picture). I was hoping it would be a pretty decent sight as it's aluminum and has a great sight picture. But this isn't much better than a nice toy.

Sight was difficult to put on, didn't seem like it fit my rail once on tried to zero sights with bore laser and couldn't get elevation to zero in, did not have a chance to test fireing.

Item arrived fast and in good condition, well packed with all required parts and battery.

I like the optic except the screws are about 7-10 threads too short. They are barely long enough to tighten when NOT on the rail. Kinda sad because I have one of their other products and am happy with that one. Honestly if the screws were a regular head I would just replace them but alas they are not so I’m going to have send it back because I don’t trust it to stay attached with only one thread holding it in place.
