Affordable and a lifesaver (almost!). I don't use big knives at all. I use steak knives and a veg peeler to prep veggies and large items like sweet potatoes, carrots (hence the orange stains!) and white russets. I also use a steak knife to cut plastic packaging, open boxes, etc. - so lots of tests for these gloves!PLEASE NOTE THE PHOTOS - See those thread pulls? Those are places where the knife slipped, as it often does for me. Every single finger has these pulls on them, some you cannot see because these gloves are STRONG. They protect my hands! I purchased these as I like to make home made potato chips but use a mandolin to cut them, and I was afraid I'd cut my thumb off! But these are great, and also use them when I'm cutting potatoes for fries. So far they've worked well and are pretty sturdy.

I use these gloves when I slice garlic on my mandolin. Without them I could never get close enough to the blade with the small cloves of garlic. They have resisted that sharp blade several times. I throw them into the washing machine when they get too garlicky.

Perfect when working with mandolin slicer. Keeps fingers and hands safe! Where were these 15 years ago? Would have saved a lot of cuts.

Yesterday I had a chance to use the gloves to chop up vegetables for soup. I needed to cut them into tiny pieces and it was a breeze with these gloves! No worries about slicing my fingers and a huge time saver. It took time for them to arrive but worth it!

As a woodcarver/whittler these gloves have "saved" my hands from getting cut wide open on several occasions. All it takes is one little slip. I highly recommend this glove. It's well designed, fits well,(has a sizing chart) and does what it supposed to do. Remember though, these gloves are cut "resistant", not cut "proof"

I use this gloves to cut vegetables and meat when cooking. I super like it because it protects my hand without affecting food safety. It is very easy to wash by wash machine. Recommended for everyone

Last week I cut my finger on carrots. This week I am using this glove. I cut my finger once cutting tomatoes, and a trip to the ER scares me. Like other users I tested it first by trying to cut it, and it did not even fray!! $5 for saving my skin from cuts and expensive ER trips!

They were ok, but when I tested them with my shun premier it glided through like butter. Works great against duller or less maintained blades however, such as a small dalstrong blade with the larger composite angle on the edge. I'd definitely recommend for any budding or starting chef, still nice to have that little layer of protection, just keep in mind it's not invincible

I have been using these gloves daily for 2 month and they have worked out fine so far.

Works well. Saved my fingertips on many occasions. Everyone should have these if using a mandolin

I haven’t cut myself yet, notice I said yet. Sharp knives and I tend to clash sooner or later. They fit nice on my small hands. So far I like them
