My 11 year old loved putting this together and then had a blast playing with his sister. Instructions were clear and my child built it without adult help. They work like walkie-talkies that you buy at the store.

So far, so good. Just got them assembled today, 'with my 6 yr. old (now 7...) grandson's help... [NOT!] 😆 but that said - they do work, and they work surprisingly well. I am impressed with the sound quality - both incoming & outgoing. Not sure of the distance apart factor yet, because it's raining here today. But - I'm pretty confident they will easily work from 200 to 400 ft. away.

The quality of these were pretty decent for the price, I honestly expected worse. Super fun to play with once assembled, long range and clear sound. You definitely need patience and determination, however. Even though they’re tiny, some steps reminded me of building box furniture with subpar instructions. The kid got frustrated so I did most of it. Some pieces need to be finagled to fit and you’ll need to try quite a few times. Overall, we love these enough to gift them to all of her friends this year for birthdays!

Easy to assemble and Fun little toys for the kids.

We purchased these for our son for Christmas to help him explore his passion for stem projects and building things. My husband and I were very impressed with the clarity of the reception. As long as the two radios are in line-sight you can go pretty far. I liked the wood quality and its ease of use. It’s a pretty nifty piece. Our son was also very impressed and excited with how they turned out and worked. For the cost and quality, this is a great value.

Great item but be careful. Bought it as a gift and assembled it with my nephew. After assembling both walkie talkies, one worked perfectly fine but the other was defective. The other walkie that did not work can only listen since the microphone to speak out did not work. Took it apart to assure everything was put correctly but it still did not function at all.
