Lancôme Idôle Lip Shaper - Creamy, Matte & Waterproof Lip Liner Pencil - With Ceramides & Jojoba Oil

Obviously, Lancôme is a wonderful brand, so I expected this to be a quality lip liner. It definitely didn’t disappoint! I received this lip liner in the color Idôle Nude, and the online pictures accurately represent what this liner looks like. It’s definitely more on the pink side rather than a true nude, but again, it matches what the pictures show. I think it’s a beautiful color, and it works really well with my fair skin tone. Additionally, this is a versatile color for me as I can match it to a ton of my lip products, since I mostly wear colors in the nude/pinkish range. This is a really matte lip pencil, and while you are supposed to first line and then blend, I find that you need to work as you go. Basically, it’s a little tough to blend once you’ve put it on, so you really need to work quickly if you want to blend out the line easily. It also definitely has some great staying power. In fact, the lip liner was still intact at the end of the day, while my actual lip product wore off. Overall, I’m really happy with this product, and I know I will be getting a lot of use out of it.

I'm not usually a lip liner person. In the past I've found it fiddly, drying, a lot of work, and not a great aesthetic. EVERYTHING changed with this liner though! First, this glided on more smoothly than any cosmetic pencil I've ever used before! No skips, no dryness, no chunks breaking off - just a good, clean, perfect line exactly where I wanted it! I drew a few stripes down the body of my lips for cohesion too, then swiped on my $3 liquid lipstick and went about my day. Honestly, I forgot I was even trying something new until a few hours later when I saw myself in a mirror. Holy Cow! My lips looked morning-fresh and perfect! I had a long day, and didn't even look again for several hours, but when I got home from work, while my liquid lipstick had faded at the center, this stuff was going strong! It's not at all drying - it's completely comfortable even for all-day wear! It goes on great! It stays on great! It looks great! I think it's great!

I sadly did not choose a great color for my skin. I was hoping it would be more neutral on me but alas it is VERY pigmented and dark on me. While most every Lancome lip product I've used has been much too dark/pigmented for me, that's a me problem. I do wish more pale-girl-friendly shades were made.The formula for this is phenomenal, though. It glides like a lipstick itself and is very creamy while being imperceptibly light. I used this with a Lancome lipstick and completely forgot I was wearing anything until my husband came home and commented on it. This was hours later and it hadn't worn off hardly at all yet, so it's certainly longwearing.There's no doubt this is the nicest lipliner I've ever used, and I've used a lot. It's worth the money.

I found this Lancome Idole formula creamy and easy to apply. Although it felt a bit dry on its own, it felt more comfortable for me with a gloss on top of it. Before leaving for dinner, I swatched it on my hand and waited for a few seconds and it did not rub off with my other hand. The formula is pretty long wearing but it came off by the time I had finished my meal. It was secure on the lip as long as you didn't have something (food) moving it around though. It was one of the better performing lip liners that I’ve used. I chose Shade 36 Nude Now and thought it was a good match for my skin’s pink undertones, although it may have leaned slightly warmer in tone than I needed.

I can alway count on Lancôme for luxurious, quality cosmetics. This lip shaper in the shade The Tea is Hot is a perfect choice In that it is somewhat neutral, can be paired with cool or warm colors for a natural definition. Here I chose to wear it with a somewhat spicy gloss and I love the look. It glides on creamy but it stays put. I sometimes can get chapped lips from liners that are too dry, so I like that this one contains jojoba oil and ceramides for moisture and treatment. Lovely product that will surely become a go to choice to pair with my lighter lipsticks or glosses. Highly recommend!

This is what a lipliner should be! It has a velvety application and goes on smoothly. No skipping over the lipline here. It helps lipstick and gloss stay put so it doesn't migrate through the little wrinkles around the mouth. The color "Sheik's Rosy Nude" is a perfect blush pink that will look good on everyone. And the most important thing, it lasts! I put it on in the morning and it's with me til at least lunchtime. It's soft enough to fill in the whole lip for a matte lip look as well. Love, love, love it!

The color I chose is a peachy neutral. I thought it would be a bit darker but it's still pretty. However, the tip broke off after one use and when I sharpen it, it keeps breaking.

Beautiful lip liner! I love the rosy color of it, I have cool-toned skin and a lot of neutrals don't look great on my skin tone. This one is more of a pinky color and works well for me, it's just a little darker than my natural lip color. The pencil is very creamy and easy to apply, it glides on nicely and doesn't skip at all. It also lasts for several hours with my lipstick. It also makes a good base for liquid lipstick for an even longer-lasting lip color.
