2018 HD 1080P Night Vision Infrared Camera Camcorder, Remote Control Handy Cameras, 24MP 16X Digital Zoom Video Recorder with Wide Angle Lens & External Microphone Jack

If I could give this zero stars, I would. Right off the bat I had issues, short battery life, grainy footage in anything larger than a 12’x12’ room (and that’s with infrared, daytime mode is even worse). The the camcorder just up and died. Wouldn’t even turn on when plugged into AC power. I contacted customer service and oh man...that’s when things got interesting. They started off nice as can be, offering a software patch to fix the camcorder, all I had to do was send them a video of the camera not working. Sent the video, asked for the patch, they offered me a discount on the 4K version instead (neither of these offers came to any fruition, mind you). I just kept asking for something, a replacement, a way to fix it, ANYTHING, but I kept getting the run around. *Then* the customer service rep offered me the opportunity to be a product tester. All I would have to do is buy the product up front, and then they would pay me back via PayPal. Last time I checked, that not how product testing works. The runaround continued for some time, with the rep even telling me that *I’m* the one who’s somehow mistaken and that they don’t sell that product (after verifying the order number with me just a week or two prior) and now the rep just straight up STOPPED answering my messages.I understand it’s not a $1000+ camcorder, but it’s the principle. I don’t want false promises and offers, I just want what I paid for...a camcorder that works. And I also find it quite interesting that this model is no longer available, which seemed to happen right around the time that this back and forth between the rep and I began.

So we got this with our wireless mic BOYA BY-WM4. I have a review on those as well. The build quality is pretty decent. I was expecting a really cheaply built camera especially for the price. This is built like some of the $200-$300 cameras. It's a pretty straight forward and basic camcorder. It does do full HD 1080P but the video is grainy looking and it also lags when doing 1080p. In other words its choppy looking but that could be me and my eyes. It also did freeze up a couple of times and the batteries don't last very long. You might get 1hr and a half out of them. There are some things that are clearer like words and clearer picture but its has that grainy look to it. I have a 10yr old fujifilm finepix J38 point and shoot and the video on that is just as grainy as this one. We do like this one because it does have a aux mic jack so you can use wireless mics. We have not tried the night vision part of it but the infrared works like a champ! It also come with and extra battery and wide view lens. It also come with a remote control which we did try once and it was a little touchy but it was pretty cheap. For the price that we paid for it we are happy with it. So overall we are happy with this camcorder however it could use some improvements.

This is a great camera for beginners! All of the buttons and options are very straightforward. It comes with an extra battery and a wide angle lens as well as an option for night vision. So far we are very pleased with our purchase!

It’s ok. This camcorder is not bad at all. Quality is good, you can take videos and pictures and make good clips. But I gave it 3 star just because of exterior design. Overall it’s ok.

Works great. If you intend on using it for an extended amount of time buy spare batteries.

Must’ve got a bad camera. Worked for a good 20 minutes, then gave out on me. Only a green screen and it wouldnt power down. Had to take battery out to reset it. Worked again for 10 minutes and it froze again.
