Extremely tedious read
The book is written in an artificially mangled voice throughout which makes it a pain to read. The story itself is very depressing with little redemption.

Probably the best fiction written in thus century yet
Probably the best fiction written in thus century yet. The syntax is broken, but not for mere trickery or Joyce-worship; it is how a pree-speech consciousness is evoked in the book. So much is unsaid, yet as the story moves forward you feel grip tightening. Also definitely one of the most moving books you will ever read. Be patient with it for 10 pages or so.
