Issue solved
I still can't belive HP monitor are exclusive for using modular support, and because of that I had to buy an adapter like this, but it it was a solution to my issue.

Machining is off
The machine screw holes for the included hardware do not thread. I bought two sets and was only able to get 6 of the 8 (2 on one and all 4 on the other) to thread. Short of widening the holes, I considered 2 out of 4 “good enough” for the lightweight monitor I was mounting.

Works well
I have a CNC knee mill that I made a custom mount for the display. I made it from 1 1/2" steel conduit so it has plenty of rigidity while using the touch screen. So I needed a VESA mount that I could connect to the conduit. This worked well. It's plenty strong enough and the block coming off the back fit nicely into the conduit.

No Dice
I have an HP 32f monitor that I would love to mount on a VESA stand. This adapter is listed as being for the 32f. It isn't the right adapter for my monitor. Had I taken the stand that came with the monitor off and compared to the photos, I would have avoided ordering, but I as my monitor's model was specifically listed as being compatible, I didn't even consider such a task. This is completely wrong for the 32f. Maybe there are multiple styles of 32f, but mine would need an adapter that connects from the bottom. Anyhow, if you're shopping for a 32f, please don't go into this blindly, like I did, unless you have a plan for recycling this metal. Good luck!
