Expectations Met
The 5 star rating given by me is as per seeing the overall value of the product. I had been waiting for the drop in its price and just as it happened and that too to its lowest ever I had seen on an Indian e-commerce website, I pounced upon the opportunity and ordered it for just ₹2087.When I received the headphones I had to get them replaced as there was a shallow tiny hole on the neck of protruding connector. But it seems this probably is the case with all units as the replacement unit had the same tiny hole. Pictures of these headphones on internet confirm that. The deal was too good therefore I ignored the flaw and didn't return the replacement headphones. It is to be seen if I took a good decision.I had extensively researched on internet before going for these headphones and taking sound quality into account, that has paid off really well. So far these are my first (sorta)hi-fi headphones. After briefly listening to music on these headphones with their stock pads on them, I replaced stock ones with velour ones which came along with the headphones. Velour pads are much more comfortable than the stock ones. Though my ears begin to sweat pretty quickly around these days of mid summer season.I already read about its cheap build quality but it doesn't worry me as my main concern is sound quality which incredibly makes up for that.At this price point you CAN'T get as good cans as these if sound quality is your concern. The sound of these cans can not be termed as flat or neutral yet it has enough detail that one can use these cans for mixing or monitoring purpose. Sub bass and low frequencies are a bit boosted but when you hear the music you will easily feel that these cans have a very good separation of sounds which doesn't let boosted low frequencies overpower or muzzle mid frequencies despite of the fact that mids are a bit recessed on these cans. Bass is clean and not muddy or boomy. Overall sound is enjoyable and has a warmth to it without low frequencies suppressing vocals. When you spend some time with these cans you will easily notice that if a track is badly mixed or recorded it will sound bad and these cans reveal enough details to point a flaw. While well mixed and recorded tracks are a joy to listen to on these cans. Separation of voice from instruments is very good and soundstage is also good. These leak sound and let surrounding sounds come in therefore better use these cans in a quiet place.I have my cans modded which perceptibly gives a cleaner sound. I removed the felt put over driver units which resulted in better high frequency and upper mid response. For buddying music enthusiasts on a shoestring budget I guess these cans are one of the better options though not very popular.

Great value!!
Bought the headphones after seeing the reviews, and after carrying out extensive survey and research.I am absolutely not disappointed with the buy. In fact, it is my daily, go-to headphones for casual listening to music when doing chores about at home from amongst the numerous headphones that I have. I love listening on them so much that I often carry and use them for portable, about town use despite the bulky design and the sound leakage, being semi-open ( Point to note - the sound leakage isn't as bad as apprehended, or as much as from fully open headphones like my Massdrop Sennheiser 58X Jubilees or Hifiman 4XXs).It is light and comfortable, it has a wide open soundstage, good imaging and provides a nice, warm tone to the music. Though the build is mostly plastic, it feels and seems durable. While it doesn't quite match up to the 58X and 4XX in the quality of sound, it provides awesome music experience for its price-point, and is an unmatchable value at its price! You can't go wrong with this one!

Bang for your buck
In the headphone world ruled by very high quality and heavily priced models, along comes this one, yes a bit plasticky and pretty big in size, but not overly heavy and sits very comfortably on your head and ears, but the beauty is in the way it sounds..... almost divine. It's specs are something's to reckon with too and right from the box to the considerate Knick knacks included in the box are very handy. Yes it isn't very portable but studio monitor headphones never promised to be that . There is is a soft pouch you can use to keep it safe, 2 sizes of cable, one is extra long allowing you to take a few steps away even...great stuff. Go for it if you find this is what your work requires. The Cable is detachable too. An extra set of ear pads with a Velour coating are also provided, kept you get tired of or don't like the leatherette ones which come fitted on the headphones. They are very carefully packed and covered where required for transporting safely. Go on buy them...they're worth it.

Steal deal for studio headphones
Best sound my ears have heard on a pair of headphones. That too at a price of 2k, this is a steal. My usage is music listening when at work. I can hear every instrument distinctly. I'm hearing sounds I never noticed before. Listening to music on these is a heavenly experience if you're coming from commercial headphones.Loved the add ons like a short 1m cable and a long 3m one. Detachable aux cable, extra pair of ear pads, carry pouch, etc. You can replace the cable if it's damaged. That's standard with most studio headphones.Fit is very comfortable. It doesn't block out all sounds at low volume, but turn up the volume just a bit and you're in your own world. Now for some background about how I choose these... I am an amateur audiophile, play bass guitar, listen to soft rock and pop music mostly. Got a Polk system in my car and Andrew Jones Pioneer speakers in my living room. My cheap (and very good VFM) headphones, the sades sa 708 got spoilt after 3 years of use. I looked around for a similar budget replacement. Ordered a cosmic byte basic headphones, but hated those so I returned them. I considered the kotion each g2000 and Motorola pulse 3 and almost bought them. That's when I stumbled upon these. I read up about the types of headphones - gaming, street, studio headphones - and realized gaming headphones will make me happy, but studio headphones will hit that sweet spot for me as an audiophile.I read reviews about the audio technica ath m50x, the behringer HPS series, and this one. The m50x and these were best reviewed. These cost almost half the price of the m50x on Amazon. I sniffed a steal deal here. Then Amazon gave a 250/- off offer. I wasted no time and ordered these. Now, I can't go back to regular headphones again. Only studio ones for me.Why would I take the time to write such a long review (when I never normally review anything I buy)? Simply, love for the Superlux HD681Evo :)

Was ein Überraschungsei!

Unbelievable
I bought these for travelling in a very rough area without risking any nice expensive ones to the elements. To give you an idea of the sort of value I place on headphones my most recent ones cost me £1400.I expected little from these superlux headphones but I'm absolutely blown away. I'm not going to delve into audiophile semantics for the 'imaging' 'colour' etc. But I will say these sound as good as headphones easily in the £100+ bracket. The build quality is servicable but for the price its about expected. It has no right to sound this good at this price point.I've since given mine to my brother who was using a pair of beyerdynamic DT 990 's and without telling him the cost he chose these as preference in sound. If your looking at these the chances are your not looking to spend much but these headphones are a buy. If the build quality was just a bit better. I would feel like I got a good deal at £100

These are awesome
First thing, the pads are terrible. They are kind enough to include two terrible pads, but it's just more to have to throw away.I got a pair of 110mm replacement pads that just make all the difference. Though be aware that the pads can cost as much as these cans if you go with a popular brand. I chose not to, paid half the price and the resulting pads were just as good as the more popular brand tbh. With the new pads, comfort improves. They are slightly tight with the ones provided.Sound is pretty great, not flat, not quite a v, the soundstage is good and positioning quite exciting at times.I played a track to my wife that she knows very well and she thought it was a remix. Pretty neat. There's talk of the bass being a bit flabby as it reaches the mids, but I haven't noticed that. Most genres of music sound plenty good and I've found them fun to use while gaming.I started off looking for some headphones at the £200 mark. I got these and some monoprice modern retro closed headphones, with new pads for both for less than a third of my budget and I'm more than happy.Build quality? Meh, but nothing to complain about at this price. The removable lead is fun, two leads are provided, both almost as great as the pads, but at least these work. I can't see a huge amount of benefit in upgrading these leads as they plug into a cheap connector, but happy to be proven wrong.Should you buy them? Yes. As long as you're happy buying new pads.

Wow
I finally got fed up of charging my Hyper X headset, i got these mainly for gaming and im so glad that i did, I will say you get the most of these headphones if you pair them with a good soundcard, (i recommend the £28 creative soundblaster one) they have fully bought to life my sound experience, games sound absolutely outstanding, im hearing things which ive never heard before.Don't be fooled by the whole "gaming headset" rubbish, go for something like these with a good soundcard in stereo mode and it will blow you away, we don't really need to talk about the price either do we? I have a pair of Bose wireless headphones which my misses got me for the gym, and compared to these they are shockingly bad. (i understand wireless are never as good as wired)
