Radiator Reflectors (5 Sheets, Fits 5-10 Radiators)

Ordered Saturday received item Wednesday morning. I had read the reviews which suggested going for larger pack and am glad I did, although I only have 5 Radiators 2 of which are only 2 ft long this pack for 10 radiators was just enough. You get 5 sheets and 20 clips so for the remaning 3 larger radiators I was able to use some of the extra clips for greater rigidity.One reviewer said to use cardboard to help -- Many Thanks for that tip. So I clipped the radflex onto the cardboard which sits across the brackets and the radflex now covers the whole of the back of the radiator, rather than just the bit inbetween the brackets.I haven't had the heating on yet hence the 4 stars as I cannot confirm the effectiveness but as 4 of my radiators are on external walls, I hope not to be heating the street as much and that it will keep my bills down.UPDATE 27th oct 2011 - Heating now on for the last week and the panels do work, the heat is reflected back into the room and my boiler isn't working so hard to keep the rooms warm. I have now altered my rating to 5 stars and am so glad I brought this pack.

I have five rads in my two-bedroom flat and they are an average size, so this pack was more than enough to do the lot. Good clear instructions and sheets were easy to cut and fit. Worth the money as it gives me enough spare sheets to replace damaged or old sheets in the future. Only time will tell how good they are at reflecting the heat and that's why one star was kept back.

I bought these from Amazon after reading the good reviews on here.These really do make a difference and a great investment for the long run.I have two radiators in my living room, I fitted one at the back and checked both over a few days and I could feel the difference in temperature (the one with the reflector fitted stayed warmer when the heating was off also). When fitting the first the old wall paper behind the radiator was preventing it slipping down, I rested the reflector over the radiator and it was flapping with the heat rising / reflecting back! I found it was easy to measure and mark using my old joiners folding rule, which was good for dealing with the old wall paper down the back too. I took my time with the first two but the rest was a doddle and took no time. Previously I could feel the heat from the hall radiator through the wall in my living room but not anymore which proves it does the job. Thoroughly impressed with these, the only thing I wish they supplied more reflective tape as I ran out on the last one, but every radiator I had to join sheets on mine.

This product obviously works to a greater or lesser extent ... If you have an old non-cavity wall or an uninsulated cavity wall it will probably work as stated by the manufacturers ... If however you have a modern house with insulation block interior walls or have had the cavity filled with insulation then it will still work but to a lesser extent ... It will still greatly reduce the ammount of heat transmitted through the wall, but as our wall is already insulated, the saving will obviously be less ... My house has both the insulation (Celcon) block interior walls plus a Rockwool Cavity Fill and I am still expecting some savings, though as yet I can't say what they will be ... I will have a better idea when the Winter is over and when I have been able to make direct meter reading comparisons ... But for a relatively small outlay, I felt that it was well worth a try.The manufacturers state that the five sheet pack will suit a house with (up to) ten radiators ... Unless you are living in a Dolls House, this is a gross exageration ... You would need to have a heating system with ten radiators that were only 24" wide ... Some of our radiators are six feet wide so I had to use one and a half sheets per large radiator ... Our house is a normal three bedroom house and we still were left with two five feet wide double radiators that were not insulated, so measure up accurately before you choose the pack size ... There was no material left after only seven radiators were done ... We now have the master bedroom and the kitchen radiators without the film attatched ... I might try to get another couple of sheets to do the master bedroom radiator ... We can live without the kitchen radiator insulated.Fitting the insulating film is very simple and the instructions are easy to follow.Just make sure that you measure up all your radiators before you decide on the pack size otherwise you will be disappointed as I was ... If you have up to ten "two foot" radiators or five "four foot" radiatorsthen you will be very happy ... Just don't accept that you will be able to do a ten radiator heating system ... Good Luck.

I've bought this product last year - as a part of my house going greener and trying to save some money on heating.The Reflectors stop the heat going to the walls and reflect it back into the room.I set the time aside to cut the foil up to the right size and use the plastic holders to hold the foil up behind the radiators. There was enough foil to install behind the radiators all over the house. I must say I absolutely loved it. They were easy to install and the instructions were easy to follow.The recommend to take them out once a year and wipe them with a damp cloth to keep the reflective abilities to their best. I have done that once but there was hardly any dust on them.I really noticed the difference since I've been using them - the house feels warmer and cosier and my fuel bill has gone down. I would definitely recommend this product. I've seen some similar products around on the market - some you are supposed to stick on the wall behind radiators - I can't imagine how - unless you take the radiators off the wall. This was much easier installation!

Al momento non saprei valutare quanto bene svolgano la loro funzione, ma questi fogli sono davvero semplici da montare. Altra cosa positiva è che non serve farli sporgere dai margini dei termosifoni, diventando di fatto invisibili.

Non mi è piaciuto che sull'immagine dell'acquisto c'è scritto 10 e invece ho ricevuto quello con scritto 5

Verarbeitung geht zügig, nur bekommt man die Falten nicht rausgestrichen, teilweise Beschichtung defektdurch schlechte Verpackung, sieht hinter den alten Rippenheizungen einfach scheußlich aus weil die Knicker verhindern das die Folie glatt hängt.
