I bought these for my son-in-law for work. He had changed jobs and now has to wear a badge and needs to also be able to scan it. In dress clothes it can be hard to figure out the best way to wear your badge, look nice and have it be easy to use.I came upon this and I liked that it had a couple of ways to attach, and has the retractable feature. I did buy some plastic badge protectors to use with these.So far it is working well, it's been 3 months and the string part seems to be doing well, and it still retracts properly.

I use the metal belt clip on the back of the round cord housing (not shown in the product images). The carabiner extending up from the housing was somewhat uncomfortable in a seated position, but I found the carabiner frame that surrounds the cord housing can be removed (takes some effort with a pry-style staple remover or slim screwdriver to pop it off and wouldn't happen accidentally). With the carabiner removed, it's quite comfortable and works well so far.

i originally loved these because I work security for a building and it holds my badges and my fob to access doors and elevators and the retractable string was exactly what I needed to hit the access points without having to unclip my whole keyring every time.. BUT come to find out the string inside is super cheap and breaks after a couple months use.. I've already broken both and it's not like I was using force, the string just randomly gave out both times as I was walking around and I ended up kicking my badge on the floor to notice it broken.. I wasn't putting insane wear and tear on it either, I used it maybe 10 times a night for 2 months but yeah 5 months later and they are both done. Oh and by the way, once it's severed it's pretty much impossible to get inside of the retractable cord holder so you can't even pull the cord out and tie a knot either.. Now I need to find a new brand.. Short lived satisfaction but if you need these for non daily use I could maybe recommend but be warned..

I'd like to like these. They do what they're supposed to .... until they break... which was about a week each on average. Used my badge 2x a day to get into the building. The rest of the time it just hung on my belt. Higher quality material and they would legitimately be a great item. Unfortunately I'd say go find something else. The part that breaks is the metal clasp around the black plastic piece. Just bends out of shape and the rest of it falls off.

This item is made to last with thick plastic and a sturdy clip. The thing I like most about the clip is besides the hook for putting on a belt loop it had a clip on the back to clip onto a chest pocket. It really seems like it is going to hold up well

This is a good product if you;re okay clipping on top of your shirt. Doesn't clip when I want to wear dresses to work for meetings. Only works well in scrubs and with jackets.

This is a plastic card holder with the retractable feature, there’s not much to review, but if anybody is wondering then it is great and worth the money, and they work for any situation, whether it be an expo, work, school, or whatever you need it for. Just be sure to wear a shirt, dress, blazer with a breast pocket.

The clip has a round edge that juts up. If you wear it on your hip, it seems to just into your side. Maybe I need to lose weight.
