My wife and I absolutely love the chain necklaces! They are strong yet delicately elegant. And the diameter is just right as it fit perfectly through my pendants bail. I've ordered several different lengths and finally obtained one at a perfect length as I am tall. I would recommend to always check your items closely for kinks and irregularities as in manufacturing, strange things can happen. As I was examining my chain I noticed a sharp needle-like point stuck in the chain. Had I immediately worn it without examining, it would have cut and scratched my neck. But I was able to pull out the needlepoint with a pair of pliers and it is a beautiful and comfortable necklace/ chain now.

I never had a chain that sparkles like this one does. It is beautiful! I like simple not flashy jewelry so I got it to wear alone. I'm waiting for my 14K gold filled ball earrings to wear with it.

I needed a new chain this length (24") for a Miraculous Medal I wear every day. This is a beautiful rope chain, nice thickness and shine. However...when I took it out of the package and looked at it, I immediately saw a "kink" in it on one side that you can feel if you run your fingers over the length of the chain. I tried to gently manipulate it to see if it was just kinked from shipping but it would not straighten out. I didn't want to keep at it and possibly break the chain. Since it is a rope chain, it is not as noticeable as if it were a smooth chain so I am going to keep it. I took off two stars for poor quality control in sending out a defective chain.

This chain is silver color sterling NOT gold plated - but I did want silver color. The description could be confusing though. .
