Harlequin Costume Black Leather Eye Mask - Great Halloween Accessory

For Halloween this year, I'll be dressing up as Harley Quinn (the classic one, with the black and red costume). This mask is exactly what I wanted. It's a black leather mask, that contours readily to the face. The eye openings are large enough to feel comfortable. Every other mask that I've tried has always been too small around my eyes. The strap fits my head comfortably, and could accommodate a person with a smaller or larger size head than normal. In the reviews I read before I ordered the mask, I saw some people complain about the stitching. Personally, I think the stitching is just fine. There appears to be a right side and a wrong side, so I'm almost wondering if the pictures from the other reviews are of the wrong side. No one is going to be looking close enough to see if the stitch line is slightly closer to the edge at one part than another. You're not going to find another mask of this quality on Amazon for this price.Once Halloween comes around, I'll post a picture of how the mask looks with makeup on.

Perfect fit and great price. Just beware of the nose part: it is very stiff and will press into the bridge of your nose. Not too noticeable at first, but it gets painful over time. Easy to fix by just gluing a tiny bit of something to the back of the mask right there for padding!

The stitching on the mask I received was very well done, I haven't noticed any flaws. The shape and eye holes are uniform and even. The fit is a bit snug which causes the mask to push on my eyes and make the bottom of my eye and eyelids seem to "pop out" some. It also pushes a little on the bridge of my nose. After reading the reviews I was expecting the mask to be a little snug but I was not expecting to have some "eye bulging." I may contribute that to my head being a bit more round than oval in shape.With all that said, I still plan on using this mask for my costumes, however I will be forming it to my face so it is more comfortable around my eyes and my nose. If that does not work I have the perfect Harley Quinn mask "template" in case I need to make one in the future. The overall shape of the mask really is amazing.The shipping was great and it arrived sooner than I expected.

This mask was comfortable to wear all night long. I used it for a Black Canary costume (though it is not an exact match, it was the closest & most affordable one I could find). It looked pretty good and didn't interfere with my eyes or line of sight at all.

So this is the game of you get what you pay for and I think $9 is a little on the hight side for this mask. However, they may sell the same make at the costume store for $20+. Mind you I am bing picky here in my review. If you are in need of something like this then it's a no brainer. My critique is in the quality of manufacture. Getting this for $4 or $5 would be a great deal as it looks like it took 35¢ to make and that is where i access the cost value.It's two pieces sandwiched together. I also think it has adhesive in between with the elastic band slid about a 1/4 inch in and then sewed together around the entire edge as well as the eye holes which is good but the sewing is a bit janky. Are you gonna see this at the costume party? No way, but it's still janky and the total thickness is about 1/16". There is no "form fit" if you were wondering. It just lays over the eyes and serves it intended purpose for sure.Will it last? I believe it would hold up over multiple uses because it's not felt or fabric o there is great value in that. I believe it is leather but I can't tell for sure. Honestly, I have seen felt masks in the same price range so if you are looking for longevity I think this would be the way to go.I purchased 2 other types of masks in a similar shape so that will give me a better understanding of how good this one really is. If you are looking to win the customer contest for detail you may want to up grade to a form fitting mask.

This mask was a great impulse buy. I have a mask I use for a "bat family" costume but decided this year it needed an upgrade. This worked wonderfully. Sure as the day wore on it got slightly uncomfortable but that's to be expected. It actually started to bend towards the end of the day and become more pliable which was great since I had to wear a face mask as well. It can also be worn upside down. If it works better for your face type.

I recently had to be in a dance competition as cat woman and we had to make our own costumes. This mask was perfect for that ! So cute ! The only problem I had was because it is so durable and not flimsy it did rub my nose if I didn't have it on a certain way. But i got so many compliments and will purchase it again !

This is just the right mask for Harley Quinn. It feels a little uncomfortable but I'm sure I just have to get used to having it on my face. The price was a little high but I was willing to spend it for the perfect mask. Very happy with my purchase.
