Totally loved it! It has all essential information for an Interior firm. Working more on it gives you wonderful results.

The book looks cute and handy but has very very basic information. And it doesn't even have information on windows and has very less infos on doors. Every topic in this book is merely a formality to convey something on interior design. If you're already an architect or interior designer, please go for any other books on the same. This book definitely won't help.

This interior design book, along with their architecture book, gave me SO MANY ideas, concepts, pitfalls, things to think about, that I couldn't put it down. I thought I knew a lot behind the engineering for designing my next house, this book showed me how wrong I was. This is not written like a story book, nor is it just a technical-numbers reference... it gives a brief (technical) overview of each concept before presenting the numbers behind each reference. If you're used to reading stories or are looking for decorating ideas, look elsewhere. But, if you've also got an engineer's brain, you will love how this reads. I especially liked the section on the engineering behind colors and light, with how it relates to design. I read this cover-to-cover, and will probably do it again more than once during my home design process.

Needed it for private English teaching and helped me getting a really good insight into interior design regarding the topic as well as the langauage.

A wonderful book! I bought it as we were planning on a complete refurbishment of the parents' summerhouse. In a concise, practical way, all the major aspects of interior design are listed and shortly explained. Now I am on the same page with our architect :)
