Puffin Classics : Tales of the Greek Her

I was eager to know about the great myths of Greek gods. This book didn't disappoint me. It is written in simple words and you won't need to be good at vocabulary. It also has illustrations but I wish they were more in numbers.

Keeps you captivated and just the right amount of info. Mythologies can get long and cumbersome. He writes very well.

The book seems to be an intersting read. Though have just glanced through it casually. The recommended price, printed on the book is ₹299 but Amazon charged me ₹350. I hope Amazon gives me a valid reason for over charging.

This is my first experience with Greek Mythology (I know, I know, I'm that frog in the well and Indian/Hindu mythology kept me engrossed most of my life). I bought this book majorly because I loved the cover and it is a beautiful cover. I can go on and on about who good the cover feels. Thr book is divided into short stories and keep it glued to it. (I like it when the book is divided into short chapters) I managed to finish most of the stories on a flight from Hyderabad to Delhi. The print is very comfortable with high paper quality. I'm highly satisfied to have invested in this book. I look forward to buying more of puffin collection! ❤

This is a great introductory book on Greek mythology. Roger Lancelyn Green's retelling of the Greek stories is very accessible. It is an easy to read book. However this book only a preamble to the vast sea of Greek mythology.

its quite elaborate and overloaded with info. not a good intro to greek legends for a child ( mine is 10). only for a teen or a grownup

Loved it so much. The author did a good job. Overall nice book. Would recommend for children above 9 years.

It gave a lot of information on Greek mythology and gave me a better understanding of it, very helpful and educational.

So as a young lad, I had a stunning illustrated (Janet and Anne Grahame Johnstone) hardback "Tales of the Greeks and Trojans" by the same author which had belonged to my mother since she was a child. A copy of that was impossible to find, so I settled for this little paperback to get my own kids started on thier mythology. I'm so glad I settled a bit, we've had the best time reading this together at bedtime, especially the scary and gruesome bits. The names, characters and places come thick and fast, so you may need to stop and explain things here and there or remind them who is who, but I'm so happy to be on this epic journey with them. Ready to start the Trojan war with them tonight, I'm counting the hours.

this is a great book I purchased it even though my son was a little old for it. he still enjoyed it this book is a great read and could be introduced in elementary school It was recomended to me on the rick riordan website (the author of percy jackson and the olympians series) this series is great for gettings kids to search for other books on mythology and history "the tales of the greek heroes" was fun as an accompnyment because tit brought further life to the myths and stories being presented for many hours of fun. this book is also a good stand alone book for kids makes history and myths fun
