The Revopoint MetroX 3D Scanner is an absolute beast of a scanner! From the moment I opened the box, I was impressed. It comes in a fantastic metal briefcase with custom padding inside, ensuring every item is securely protected. The attention to detail in the packaging is top-notch and sets the tone for the quality of the product.Using the scanner has been a breeze. The instructions are clear, making it incredibly easy to set up and start scanning. The build quality is outstanding, right down to the automatic rotary plate and tripod, which feel solid and durable. The precision of up to 0.01mm is mind-blowing, and the four scanning modes make it versatile for various projects, even with challenging materials like metal or dark surfaces.I haven’t activated the 30-day QuickSurface trial yet, as I’m waiting to start it when I begin a big project. However, I’m already thrilled with the potential this scanner offers. It’s a game-changer for my 3D printing workflow, and I can’t wait to use it regularly for creating detailed and accurate models.If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate - this scanner is worth every penny. I’ve tested several 3D scanners, and this one blows them out of the water! The level of detail is insane, picking up even the tiniest textures. The four scanning modes make it super versatile, and it handles dark and metallic objects better than expected. The software is user-friendly, and the setup was a breeze. Great for professionals or hobbyists!

The media could not be loaded. This Revopoint 3D scanning spray has been a game-changer for my 3D scanning projects. I specifically chose the AB-P variant for its permanent coating, which has proven incredibly useful for scanning challenging objects, such as transparent items or those with difficult surface colours that my Revopoint Mini scanner struggled with.The spray creates a light, even coating of powder that provides the necessary contrast for accurate scanning. It's easy to apply and dries quickly to a matte grey finish. I found that waiting for the coating to fully dry before scanning was crucial for achieving optimal results.Once dry, the scanning process was seamless and accurate. The spray didn't interfere with the scanner's performance and allowed me to capture intricate details that were previously impossible to capture.Removing the coating is also a breeze. A simple wipe with a cloth or brush removes the powder completely, leaving no residue on the scanned object.The AB-P spray offers excellent value for money, especially compared to the temporary sprays that evaporate within hours. Its permanence ensures that I can scan multiple objects without needing to reapply the coating frequently.If you're looking for a reliable and effective 3D scanning spray, I highly recommend the Revopoint AB-P. It's a valuable tool for tackling challenging scans and achieving accurate results.

This is quite an expensive can of spray but in view of its size and how far it goes it is actually decent value as it does work.I tested it with a clear glass candle holder which did not show up in the scanning software at all in its natural state.I then sprayed with the AB-P which comes out as a deep matt grey coating that sets almost immediately to be a powder.The coating was blotchy with the standard top so the included long spray nozzle would most likely do a better job.It did now however now scan in reasonably well even as a quick scan test so it does work and if applied evenly should be pretty good.I washed the item under a tap and it came off straight away as it did as I touched it with my finger so it should just wipe off.I do recommend it as it does work but I may be nervous about using it on something of value that could not be washed.

Product built well, comes with lots of good accessories including a case and turntable. Laser mode works okay but the software representation that shows you areas that you have scanned is awful. You can barely see where you need to cover. Tracking of dots is average. Angle supported isn’t too wide.Then the feature tracking, horrible. Tested on lots of feature rich items large and small. Lost tracking which then cause poor alignment of data. Bought a creality raptor and it’s night and day, even without the cross line laser.Don’t bother with this, at least until the software algorithms catch up.Also most of these reviews are for scanning spray. Not the Metro X they are clearly trying to pump up the reviews on Amazon. Those reviews that are for the scanner are from people who got the scanner for free. So take everything you see with a pinch of salt.
