Ordered it for just for the sake of trying out a fire starter ., But the quality turned out to be excellent .Rather than going for Bear Grylls fire starter or some other fancy name , adventure junkies should try this out.Make very good Sparks and looks really durable .Though not very useful in real world scenario , This would be a nice addition to all those people who love to camp or collect survival gear . Looking forward to field testing it on my next camping trip.

Awesome product! Really liked it it works as expected first scrape the Rod and strike it against it you will see the sparks! It cannot burn paper but cotton seems fine and over all build quality is good its not branded but for this price it's worth it

Giving 4 stars bcoz d product is gud enuf n apt for hikers n trekking enthusiasts i wud say d only con is d size of the flint its too thin but still wud last pretty gud recomended for recreational hikers n campers.I got it for a value price of 199 and its more than worth it

I just bought this fire starter for the sake trying out if it really works or not, and I must say, I'm really impressed! All it takes is a little bit of technique and practice.Take a small piece of newspaper (or any paper). Make sure it is a thin piece of paper and not a thick layer because to start the fire you need use thin paper that could catch fire easily. Scrape off some of magnesium on it. Collect the powered at the corner (or edge) of the paper. Then strike the flint with the striker (this part needs a bit of practice). And there you have a fire!Must buy for those who are into camping and collecting survival tools!

Very difficult to generate spark. Not enough spark is produced to burn anything, Better buy a Rs. 10 ciggerate lighter.

Awesome product. Remove the Black coating first to get it working.

Good product, please put some tutorial video or link on youtube for better explanation or put first image in different images. PLEASE CUT DOWN SOME PRICE THOUGH!!!!!!!!
