This book gave me so much insight into the history of AA and Bill Wilson's life. There was so much that I didn't know before, and I've been sober for over 30 years.

'Pass It On': The Story of Bill Wilson and How the A.A. Message Reached the World is an inspirational book that recovering alcoholics will enjoy reading. In fact, I think the Average Joe would benefit from reading this book too. It's inspiring to read of how Alcoholics Anonymous was set in place and saved lives from the very beginning. This book is Alcoholics Anonymous literature that is approved by World Services. If you are a recovering alcoholic, new to A.A. or a veteran member, this book will make you truly appreciate the power Alcoholics Anonymous has to save lives. I bought my used copy on Amazon for next to nothing. The book arrived approximately two weeks after I ordered it. The only complaint I have about the order is that the book was package in shrink-wrap material that stuck to the entire book. The actual book was in good condition, however the shrink-wrap material ruined the dust cover. No big deal because it was still worth my money.

I read this book many years ago when it was first released. Reading it these many years later only drives home what a great book it is - and what an amazing story Bill Wilson's life is. A profoundly flawed man who not only spearheaded Alcoholics Anonymous, but also the man who saved it - again and again. Despite his flaws, Wilson made choices that had a profound effect on the development of this fellowship, its organization and ultimate survival. A must-read for AA history buffs!

I remember when Bill W died. I was in a recovery group when we got the news... I loved this book... still do. My copies grow feet and walk away it seems...
