Great Movies, Horrible Packaging and Software
Lets start with the good first. The movies themselves are all excellent quality, great picture and sound on all I have watched so far. I am about 3/4 of the way through the collection now. No problems yet with the quality of the discs themselves or with the picture and sound as others have said. If it was just the quality of the movies that influenced my rating, it would be a 5 star rating. But there are 2 other issues that bring the rating down, one of them a major issue for me.The biggest issue for me with this collection is the on disc software that controls the playback of the movies. Unlike every other Blu-ray or dvd I own, this set will not let you stop the movie and then resume it later. You cannot pause the movie for too long, if the player times out and powers off from inactivity you lose your place in the movie. Every other disc I have, you can press stop once to stop the movie, but then press play and pick up where you left off, or press stop twice if you want to stop completely. If you pause any other disc and the player powers down, you can start it back up and resume where left off. But not with these. If you press stop, it stops the disc entirely and you have to start at the beginning and watch all the legal crap and preview and then try to navigate to close to where you thought you were when you stopped. And the chapter menu is not well laid out well, nor is it informative. The same if you pause and the player powers down, you lose your spot and have to start up fresh again and try to find your spot. I hardly ever manage to sit long enough to watch a long movie in one sitting, so this glaring omission with the disc software kills the whole set for me. It is a major pain to watch all the legal crap while the disc is booting up and then have to try to search the chapter selections for where I left off when all I should have to do is sit down, press play and watch the rest of the movie. The second issue is the packaging. For a collectors set, the packaging is very bad for discs. It looks nice on the outside, and inside. Good graphics, nice and shiny. But 2 things wrong with it, first and foremost is the way the discs are held in the package. The packaging is like a large hardback book with cardboard pages. The cardboard pages are 3 layers of thin paperboard with a slot cut into the outer layer on each side. the Discs are then just shoved between the cardboard. To remove the disc's you have to put your finger under the disc and touch the data surface so you can pinch the disc to pull them out. No excuse for that type of packaging. The other gripe with the packaging is the size. I want my discs to be all fairly uniform in size so they can all fit on the shelves together. This however is huge and not suitable at all for shelving with other discs being in a board game size box of 11"x7"x2". It should be packaged in more reasonable disc holders with plastic trays that have a button in the middle to hold the disc.

Very Impressive set for any fan of Bond movies.
I purchased this set as a "Birthday gift" to myself, I've watched many James Bond movies since I watched Dr. No on Tv & I've seen some of the movies in the theater, & I had previously purchased the VHS collection (used). But when I saw that this updated set was available on Blu-Ray & reading some of the details that the movies had been remastered, I figured "Just get it" & I decided to go the used route again as well & I purchased Skyfall & Spectre separately. The presentation itself is "Astounding", 2 slipcases with 22 movies & a slot reserved for Skyfall (I personally am not keen on the slipcases themselves, but that's just a matter of personal taste, so I purchased a 5 pack, 6 disc Blu-Ray case). The set I purchased was $90.00 used & the set itself looks in "superb condition", almost like "new", as if someone bought it, didn't like it & either returned it or donated it. The outer box that hold the Blu-Ray cases has one slight blemish (big deal), but otherwise looks to be in a pristine condition, like the wrapper had just been removed & it still had the descriptive flap attached to the slipcase itself. I started out with "Diamonds Are Forever" (I hadn't seen this movie in years) I have a PS3 Gaming system that I also use as a Blu-Ray player that I have hooked up to my widescreen Tv via HDMI, so I get the full native 1080P & the tv is very well calibrated. I put the movie in, started it up & was very thoroughly "Wowed". The remastering that they did is wonderful & seeing the movie in Hi-Def is a treat in itself. If you're a fan of James Bond like me, then this is the set for you. Very, very Impressed. 5 Stars.

A great collection!!! Dislike the cardboard DVD sleeves though!
What an amazing collection. All the MGM Produced Bond films in one place. "Dr. No" - "Quantum of Solace" I enjoyed everyone of them as someone who hasnt seen all the Bond films before. My only gripe out of this whole set is the cardboard DVD sleeves. The way it's made, is it forces you to put your finger on the part of the DVD that is supposed to be read. So the chances of you mucking up, dirtying up, and/or scratching the surface is extremely high. That is honestly my only complaint. Whoever designed this aspect of the set, was not very smart. All in all, this is the best bang for your buck if you're looking to get all the major Bond films in one place. Just make sure you pick up "Spectre" and "Skyfall" as well to complete your collection.Just be responsible and careful with these DVD's otherwise they will ptobably get ruined because of the way the cardboard sleeves are designed. As long as the recipient is careful and responsible they shouldn't have any problems.I did have 2 of the dvds out of all of them, skip or refuse to play toward the end in certain parts. (And I bought a brand new set.) I took them out and examined them but couldn't find any scratches or dirtiness. But after wiping them a bit and putting them back in, they started working again. This is the best deal on Amazon for all of the bond films in one place.A must have for any fan or those new to the series.

Great
Fabulous - bought as a gift and it's great! When there's nothing good to watch on TV we all get the Bond set out.Until the new ones were released, this had a section for Skyfall (as the disc hadn't come out yet), but the section is there for it.Unfortunately, it doesn't have any other room so when Sceptre comes out we'll have to buy a separate DVD - Obviously, this is resolved if you don't like one of the DVDs and you just get rid of them, but then of course (and to some), would ruin the collection.

All I ever wanted on Bond and a whole lot more
For years I've been looking for a better way to house my Bond collection besides on Large space taking VHS Video Tapes and this is a more or less perfect solution. I had the last two on dvd but thought the best thing was to get them altogether. Amazingly it's freed up a whole shelf of my bookcase and I can watch a favourite within a few seconds no more waiting for the tape to load and fast forward to the beginning of the film...I can't wait for the latest release as there is even a storage space within the pack for it ready for 'SKYFALL'. I have to say for all film collectors of this genre out there that this is a must buy.

The name is Bond (obviously)...
What is there to say about the Bond films that hasn't already been said? This box set collects all of the films to date (From 'Dr No' to 'Quantum of Solace') along with a space holder for the disc of 'Skyfall'. These are all the Eon-produced films, so it does not include David Niven in 'Casino Royale' (which is generally not considered a 'proper' Bond film, but a parody) or Sean Connery's 'Never Say Never Again' - whose 'canonity' is argued about by fans....If you want tons of special features, this isn't the purchase for you - but if you want all the films in one place (and for a good per-film price),. this is the one for you!

Love the Bond films!
Love the Bond films- and this came with slots ready for the upcoming films! I had to return the first one as it had two copies of 'Die Another Day' but was missing 'Diamonds are forever'! However, the replacement was in perfect working order.Just be careful when opening the box- it's not the sturdiest material so will bend easily.Would definitely recommend.

If you don't like James Bond don't buy it!
I love James Bond, I've seen Bond films my whole life, and the times and places I watched those films have childhood memories attached. I'm the wrong side of mid 40's, and Bond isn't exactly the right side of political correctness, but I'm not sexist or racist, and these are well made films, with 'real men' and beautiful women, some of whom are quite deadly! For the price of this box set you can't go wrong, you can't buy very many films for the price these are, they are about £2.10 each! 22 films to watch, how can you go wrong?
