K11 Compact Desktop R2R architecture DAC and Headphone Amplifier (Silver)

Hello All Buyers, I have received FiiO K11 instead of K11R2R, but the seller was addressed this issue quickly, I'm satisfied with their support and honesty. Besides, I have been using this unit last one week, well made DAC with easy to setup. In addition, I feel the DAC is perfect for decent for music listening, Bass I feel bit stronger than regular DAC, in comparison of Eversolo A-6, or Fiio K11.

Detali nie brakuje są za to znacznie bardziej naturalne niż w sztucznie oversamplowanych Sigmach. Faktycznie konkurować może jedynie 2x droższy Chord. Działa bez problemów w parze z wiimem ultra - przy zdecydowanie wyższej jakości dźwięku niż z wewnętrznego dac ess wiima. Oraz wyższej niż analogiczne Toppingi akm. Piękne metalowe wykonanie z podświetlanym logo. W pomiarze oscyloskopowym wyraźnie widoczne działanie full NOS (także dla Dsd), bez wprowadzanych artefaktów filtrów układów Delta Sigma.

Fait le taff. Si vous savez ce que cherchez en son, c'est un R2R décent pour un prix très décent.

Pros - Excelente relacion precio/calidad. - Produce una calidad de audio muy por encima de su precio, no tiene ningun tipo de ruido. - Tiene una coloracion agradable, que podria describir como relajada. - La alimentacion del AMP que tiene incluido es mas que suficiente para todos los audifonos que tengo HD660S, H800S, DT 990 Pro, Edition XS. - Ha funcionado 24/7 desde que hice la compra en septiembre de 2025 sin ningun fallo. - La unidad no se calienta y puede colocarse practicamente en cualquier lugar ya que es compacta. Cons - Navegar los menus es molesto, ya que todo se tiene que hacer por medio del Knob. - Al ser pequeña le falta agarre, lo solucione poniendole pies de goma.

So I'd like to preface that I've tried a lot of DACs before, all of them excel at something but have shortcoming in something else. For example Soekris 1541 has the widest soundstage but doesn't sound that organic for R2R, Bifrost 2 OG has the biggest bass slam and good imaging but is slightly fuzzy in the bass area, Bifrost 2/64 to me just sounds too neutral like delta sigma DACs......... so on so fourth..... every DAC is good at something but bad at something else. Here FiiO give their first attempt at R2R and knock it out of the park. It's not the BEST at any category, like if you only look at 1 aspect say like soundstage size. It's not the biggest soundstage size. If you just look at bass slam it's not the hardest slam out of any DAC. But it's good at everything. I can't really think of any flaws, it's just very good at everything. Like 8.5/10 across the board. Like some DAC would have 1 category 10/10 but next category 7/10, this is not the case here. It basically got good organic vocal, very musical / rich tuning, good R2R imaging/soundstage, decent bass slam, very airy up top. Best of all the price is HALF of its closest competition which is Modi Multibit 2. Though I think NOS mode I actually like it more on the FiiO K11 R2R. So I'd recommend buying this over Modi Multibit 2. Unless you need XLR output or need really high end DAC, I'd recommend just buy this instead. Only time I'd start considering other DAC is when you go up to maybe Gungnir level or so. But at that point you're approaching 6x the price or so. OH ok I lied, there is one shortcoming. The built in single ended amp is "just okay". I'd pretend the amp doesn't exist. Though I read the balanced amp is actually decent. But I run it as DAC only and run a line out to my tube amp then it punches way above its price point. As I mentioned closest would be Modi Multibit 2 which costs double. So my suggestion is buy this, run NOS mode, then buy another headphone amp (some say Atom+ Amp works well, but I run tube amp). Then you're pretty much set. Cheers!
