A Simple Solution to Save My Media Player's Remote Control Functionality
I recently used my remote controlled media player to watch a video file. The experience was a struggle as the IR sensor of the medial player did a horrible job of sensing the remote control that came with the player. Things got so bad that the only way to accurately use the remote control is to hold the remote a few inches away from the player's IR sensor. That sort of defeated the purpose of having a remote controlled player in the first place and pretty much made the player useless.Rather than cutting my losses, I decided to look for a solution and found the BAFX Products - All-in-One Infrared IR Repeater Kit/Remote Control Extender Cable. I only needed to control on device (the media player) so got the one for a single device. The remote control extender cable is a simple solution. The cable has three connections. First is the power which is a 5V USB cable. Second is the IR receiver and third is the connection which the receiver captures the signal from the remote and transmits to the device's IR receiver (in my case, that of the media player). There is sticky tape which allows for sticking the latter two cables. For me, I used the one for the IR receiver and stuck to my TV set. I didn't want to stick the other on my media player so just held the cable in place with some gaffer tape. The set up was so easy that I set the cable up without even realizing the were instructions included. As for how well cable works. It works FABULOUSLY! The remote control for my media player now works like a charm. The claim I believe is the reception works up to about 28 feet. My living room is only about 15 feet back from the tv so I tried that and there is no issue at all with missing a signal from the remote. There is a green led that lights up constantly on the part that received the signal from the remote. It lights orange/red with each keypress to show a signal was received. I've read where some feel the led light as irritating. For me, that was no issue. In fact, I like the feedback knowing a keypress was accepted.I give the BAFX Products - All-in-One Infrared IR Repeater Kit/Remote Control Extender Cable 5 stars.Definitely worth the $12 or so (as of this review) to save your sanity from a hit or miss IR remote sensor.

Easy to Install - Works Great!
I built a TV lift cabinet. Looked at expensive TV lift cabinets and noticed the best ones included IR repeaters. After building custom cabinet, found out a repeater was needed. This unit was extremely easy to install. The power strip used in the cabinet included USB outlets. This feature was used to power the repeater.

Works perfectly
This was exactly what I needed for my tuner that's behind a cabinet door. Set up literally took a couple minutes and it works perfectly. My only suggestion would be to make both wires about 6 feet in length. The distance from the USB on my TV to the IR receiver on my tuner is considerably further than from the USB to the front of the TV for the sensor.

Easy setup and works good
My Samsung smart TV and remote can't communicate with the direct tv cable box inside the cabinet (the cable box is setup as RF). Added this discreetly under the speaker and within the cabinet. Now remote and Alexa voice talks to the TV, and TV talks to this repeater, which talks to the cable box in the cabinet. Happy it worked out for the low price. Probably fails less than 10% of the time, but that could be a number of issues, including the TV. Overall happy.

Works great with 2012 Samsung TV
I inherited an older 2012 Samsung TV (UN50EH6000) that came with a house that I recently moved into. It was installed behind a 1-inch wooden framing. The framing completely blocks the tv’s IR sensor. The remote struggled to turn on/off the tv or change the volume unless we got off the couch and stood 4 feet away from the screen. Due to the age of the TV it did not have CEC capabilities. So my choices were to find a tv that would fit this exact same framing or try an IR extender/blaster. I bought this and installed it within 5 minutes. I’m writing this review because I saw most reviews talking about receivers or media equipment hidden behind cabinets. I wanted others to realize this works very well if you simply just need a way to use your remote with your tv. I did add a Roku stick after the fact. So far the only issue is turning off the tv, now I need to get up to turn it off. Kind of comical but a more than fair trade off to control volume and navigation controls from my couch. One thing to add, as others have stated, make sure you adhere the IR Emitter directly onto your tv’s existing IR receiver. Totally worth $11.

Great product
I love it works great from 23 feet away at all angle. I recommend everyone to use the YouTube video to set it up correctly as the user guide does not help at all

Works well, but with slight issues
Slight issue with the cable losing power when bent, but otherwise works well.

Works like a charm
Bought this to allow us to keep the door closed on our media unit and still control our cable box and other devices. This was extremely easy to set-up and works perfectly. We can now leave the doors closed on our media cabinet and control the TV and Cable box just as easily.

Convenient
It works very well but the reason I gave it 4 starts because it did not work the first time I installed as I had to juggle it several time to make it work but once I got it to work has not had any issues.
