So I bought some property out in the country that is on a well setup. It is an older well and due to the sandy nature of things out here it uses an air lift to get the water out of the ground and then stores it in a cistern. From the cistern there is a pump that moves it into a pressure tank and from there it goes out to the house. I am using this to move the water from the cistern to the pressure tank as I have had several power outages that resulted in me not having access to water at the house.Now, I am using this a litter different than I think most people would. I have a 12V 30A AC power supply that usually powers tis pump. This is connected to a transfer switch that allows me to switch between this AC driven power supply and a 12V car battery that is being kept topped up by a 50W solar panel and small PWM controller. I only run this off of the battery when I lose power though I might change that if I get some cheap solar panels. This runs for about six minutes every day, which by their specs means I use only about 25 watts of power a day, more than enough to run off the battery and still be good even with some cloud cover days (battery is safely about 500Wh). If this goes really well I might ask my well guy what it would take to switch out the air lift, though I think that might have other issues because of the sand.

This lasted 3 months, now it judders slightly, but does pump.

I have this well pump hooked up to 2 12v batteries hooked up in series to create 24v and running to a charge controller and solar panel. Off Grid Set Up a plus. This well pump is installed in a shallow well that we just had dug that is 60ft in the ground. We had this dug as a second source of water just in case our main well system has any issues in the future. So far it's pumping fine and works.

This pump is used as a backup in case of power outages. We have a spring that supplies water and when the power goes out, there's no power supply to the main pump, so no water to the house. This pump takes care of the issue, it runs on DC and seems to work well. It has a good flow rate. Very reasonable price! I would recommend

One issue with water pumps is that if you get the wrong one, it has a very high energy consumption. This one is perfect for off grid and solar situations because it is low draw, direct current rather than AC. So it works great for using with solar and batteries, and the price is very affordable.

Pump looks to be well constructed. Being a DC deep well pump is a huge plus. Excellent for off grid applications or as a backup once the grid goes down.

I'm preparing to go from grid to solar with battery backup. It does not make sense to convert all DC to AC power (loss of efficiency) if I can use DC power to run things. This is where this pump comes in.

This fits the bill and checks all the boxes. Easy enough to setup.
