Great upgrade to the IR illuminator that came with my 4K Pro. This extended my range at night significantly. Could easily see coyotes out to 450-500 yards on clear dark nights. I would definitely upgrade to this light. Only suggestion would be to buy extra batteries. I like to run my lights bright, so I run through several batteries. However, what I experience seems to be on par with the advertised run times.

Purchased to upgrade the IR light on my scope. Has lots of adjustability for different distances, weather conditions, and times of day. Would recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their viewing distance on any IR scope.

I like the distance provided with this IR. Field of illumination is variable and well lit.The mount is not well designed. It's solid and adjustable, but doesn't hold the light firmly in place. Disappointing but not insurmountable. A couple wraps of duct tape and it should hold in place.A better designed mount with a fixed groove/ridge to fix it in place would be a great improvement.I like the adjustment that can be made from the mount. They just don't hold. The tube slips on the grips and doesn't hold properly.I haven't checked it out at more than 190 yds but wide angle and focused it lights up your night - if you can get it to align with the scope.Overall I'm satisfied. Minor modifications should be built in but I can overcome those in house. Just shouldn't have to.Edit: fixed the mount issue with duct tape inside the rings. Grips the knurls- no sliding no twisting a little slop still but MUCH better. IR led is square and emits a square light box - if you want to align it horizontal and vertical you will have to look at the orientation of the LED before tightening the mount. Mine now looks like a diamond on point. Maybe I'll fix it or learn to use it as is - gives a slightly wide and taller illumination pattern. Supplied mount allows for vertical & horizontal adjustments to bring it in line with the scope. Intensity control works but hard to adjust based on where you place the light. It's a bit of a reach on my mounting location.Worth the investment, just make it work for you.

Have had my ATN scope and supernova light for about 4 years no problems with either. The extra IR from the supernova really helps to see better at night. Good products and would recommend

ATN should be ashamed to offer this IR light system with such a cheap and almost non-functional mounting system. The IR light is fine although cheaply made with terrible thread fit. Trying to vary from wide beam to narrow beam is barely functional because of the terribly loose tolerances in the threads. The light "head" almost comes off when put on wide beam. The beam adjustment screws are coarse and tolerances "male to female" threads are terrible. When you finally, if ever, get the beam aligned with the rifle barrel the light won't stay in position and "flops" around because of the loose tolerances. Made in China should have been a good giveaway notice of the bad quality.

First thing first was to put battery on charge.and it does take around 12 hours. Then I carefully installed the supernova onto the atn 4k. Pro 5x20. It installed without any of the numerous bad reviews I read before purchasing not one single issue. Mount was tight as should be . No need to over tighten. Ring to ir tube is tight with out over tighten it. The reason for going with the supernova is while. Hunting with the standard ir shipped with the 4k is at a 100 yards or more I like to zoom my 4k to check closely the hogs I'm shooting. And while doing so would get a little grainy view not bad but more . So income the supernova. I have both mounted on my 4k. My choice. I use the standard out to 100 yards if farther I turn off the standard and switch on the supernova on spot which I had zero issues with loosnes of head at all and I can zoom in my 4k without any graininess. Not real sure about the bad reviews. But I was very careful setting it up.. I have been using night vision from atn many years. I can't say I was as happy with the older x-sight but very happy with the setup I use now. And have cleared up my graininess issue I was having at longer distance

Previously bought the ATN X-Sight 4K Pro Digital 3-14X a few years back and have been looking to upgrade the illuminator for at least a little while. This torch is definitely the upgrade in every way. The previous light had disposable batteries while this one is rechargeable. It carries farther and is brighter using the night vision scope. I had a slight issue with the mount but My (an ATN Account Manager) helped me out and replaced the mount for me. Their customer service is great, their scopes are great, and this illuminator is great too.
