Ultra-Efficient Clamp-Mount SMD LED Magnifying Lamp 1100 Lumen on Just 15-Watts Large 7" x 5-1/4" Three-Diopter Lens

The lens quality is good, and the magnification is as expected for a 3-diopter lens. Such a lens corresponds to 1.75x magnification and has a 13" focal length -- the current product details seem to have been copied from a 5-diopter lens in referencing 2.25x magnification and a 9" focal length, which are incorrect. At the distance I find most comfortable to use I easily get 1.5x magnification. See my photos for what that actually looks like. One advantage of the lower-diopter lens is that as the focal length becomes longer, the range of lengths at which an item will still be in focus also grows - in other words, you don't have to position an item super-precisely to keep it in focus because the range is pretty generous.I find the magnification is sufficient for working on miniature models in the 28mm / 1:56 scale.The LED illumination is adequate, after being sure to adjust the dimmer and the section settings to make sure all the lights were on and at max power. However, as another reviewer noted, it's nowhere near 1100 lumens. I measured it using a light meter - it's 285 lux at a distance of 1 foot, which corresponds to a mere 166 lumens. You can judge for yourself the amount of illumination provided by comparing my photos.I appreciate that the arms are constructed in such a way that there are no pinch-points for fingers while you're adjusting them, which is common with the standard swing-arm design.

I rarely give reviews but this product should definitely get recognition. I looked at every possible magnifying glass available on Amazon 5 plus times over and this one beats all of them hands down, especially since it doesn’t make you feel like a fish peering through the inside of a fish bowl outward like the round ones do. The price is well worth it!!! The maker of this product chose an EXCELLENT shape for the magnifying glass and the 2.5x glass piece is authenticity amazing along with the lift up cover for protection. The sturdiness and spring function is superior to all others. The lighting element is ahead of its time and could be used as a flood/spot light if only it had a battery LOL. I manage a medium size dental lab employing nearly 60 long time CDTs. We ordered our first one of these magnifying lamps roughly a year ago. Since this time we have nearly converted the entire lab to these lamps. The work beautifully and look good as well. Most importantly not not one issue with the shipping or the product it's self.I would also like to mention that I do not write reviews on products, in fact this is only the second time ever doing so, however this product is truly the most bang for your buck, and I wanted to make sure if anyone were to look at this product, it is worth every cent.

The media could not be loaded.  I just got this lamp this week. When I open the cover, one of the hinges pops out. It appears that the cover door dips a bit between the hinges, causing it to bind on the slightly upward curving jamb thus pushing the cover door out of one of the hinges.I have asked the seller to resolve the problem.I really like the lamp. Super clear and wide view. so I hope the seller responds by shipping me a new cover door or a new unit.UPDATE: 5 days after my review and seller feedback, I received a new cover-door in the mail. It seems to have fixed the problem.The lamp serves me well.

The magnifying glass is huge, crystal clear and the LEDs provide more than enough illumination. I had the old style round with fluorescent on my workbench before and there is no comparison. The ability to switch right/left side LEDs independently as well as all simultaneously on of course is a great feature. Overall the design and construction is very good. The power adapter failed almost immediately and they sent a replacement asap. Great customer service. I hope the switch pad lift in the pic will not be an issue down the road.

Setting this lamp at maximum output is not 1100 lumens. In my opinion, it's about 400 lumens. I use a 500 lumen flashlight for work and this lamp doesn't come close to that. But it does work and was a breeze to install. The glass is really clear and the overall look of the design is clean. It's painted completely white so in time, I'm sure my greasy fingers will leave marks on it. If it was brighter (as claimed) I would have gave it 5 stars.

I use this for my work table to do electronic repairs, it does the job nicely. Well made.

This light does exactly what I ordered it for. Seems built well. Flexible and decent brightness. Work on jewelry. Bought it for the 5 diopter lense however it is not as advertised. I use a loop lense to set on top of lense to try to get magnification I need.
