Filtration made easy and delicious
Makes tap water taste like expensive water bottles. AMAZING ! Installation is easy I had a harder time cleaning under the sink.( I have a spray bottle for EVERYTHING ) OMG. Filtration, yeah easy snap in o ring plugs make a positive connect and the 3/8 standard fitting in and out . I used 3/4 wood screws so it wouldn’t penetrate into the other cabinet for the holder . If you want hot water to be filtered as well you would need one of these kits for your hot side

Quality and “bang for your buck”
I purchased this product based on reviews found online on consumer sites. This unit is intended for under the sink installation but i did not realize this when i ordered it. The unit comes with 1/2 inch and 3/8 inch supply lines which are pretty standard for the manufacturer intended use and installation. I feel no need to filter all tap water for washing dishes and such and wanted to use it for the water dispenser and ice maker built in to the fridge. My intention was to use it as a replacement for my GE refrigerator inside filter which as many others customers will testify is very expensive to replace due its relatively short lifespan (less than 3 months) even in a a two person household. A call to GE and they provided me with a bypass device to replace the onboard filter so i could install an exterior unit as many have done to great satisfaction. I contacted Waterdrop customer service and agent Karina was very helpful in trying to find me a suitable adaptor for the size difference of my refrigerator connections but we had both come up with the same problem. The needed parts were not available on Amazon so in conclusion we both agreed a visit to plumbing supply would be most appropriate. The parts i needed cost me $12. No problem, for me this was an easy fix and the filter works 1000x better than the onboard OEM unit that GE puts in their fridge. Even when new it would take like 20-30 seconds to fill a glass of water and now its like 5 seconds. Filling a pot of water to cook with went from maybe over 2 minutes to under a minute. Totally satisfied at this point i was surprised with a follow-up from Waterdrop and a short conversation led to an offer for a reimbursement of the cost for buying the extra parts i had purchased. In my opinion this is what i would call OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE ! I will certainly update this review accordingly if the unit falls short of its advertised expectations.

Water finally tastes right
I have one primary criteria for a water filter: the water coming out the other end needs to taste good. This filter was a smashing success in that regard. The next criteria are ease of filter changes and ease of installation. Changing the filter is dead easy, but I'm not anticipating having to do that for 5 full years. My last house had a 4-stage RO filtration system and changing those filters was a royal pain, involving wrenches, buckets, towels to mop up spills, etc. So, through painful experience, it was one of the things I looked for this time around. I want to be able to change a filter in 3 minutes - not 3 hours. Installation was very easy, too, but because I am using this as an in-line filter for our refrigerator, it did not come with the correct fittings. It assumes you are installing it in the cold water line under your kitchen sink, and those are typically 3/8" compression fittings - which understandably match what is on this unit. A fridge, on the other hand, uses 1/4" compression fittings for its water line (as well as the valve in the wall behind the fridge) and so I had to make a run to my local plumbing store to purchase two adapters - one for the inlet and one for the outlet - for a grand total of $8. I also found that the threaded connection at the water supply valve leaked unless I used the Teflon tape that (thankfully) ships in the box. I torqued everything up and observed it for 30 minutes: no leaks. This is important since it will be behind the fridge where slow leaks wouldn't be obvious until the floor and/or walls were ruined. So, why TWO filters for my fridge? Simple. The one inside my Whirlpool fridge (Everydrop EDRARXD1) is both expensive and it doesn't do a very good job. I had to fire it. Nothing personal. They retail for $60 and need to be replaced every 6 months. So that's $120/year - all for the privilege of bad-tasting water. And, both the water and the ice in my fridge tasted horrible, even with regular filter changes. So, for essentially the same price, I purchased this 5-year filter and put it in-line with the fridge. Now, I have dual filtration: the first is this one and then the one inside the fridge. I figure that the fridge filter will no longer have to do much of anything, since this filter does all the heavy lifting, so I do not plan to change it - it can act as a pass-through piece of pipe for the next 5 years. After installation, I ran the water for 5 minutes as instructed and then had my wife and a guest in our house taste the water. Moment of truth... We all agreed it was pristine. No odor. No taste. Mission accomplished.

Second purchase, zero regrets
Let me preface this by saying this is my second time buying this exact filter from this company. I bought one for my first apartment and it outlived my stay there. I moved into a new apartment and purchased it again without hesitation. Water taste? GONE. 100%. The strong chemical taste and smell are completely gone. I live in Fort Worth, Texas, where the municipal water is treated with chloramines and has a higher, alkaline pH (this is publicly reported in the city’s water quality data). If you’re sensitive to taste and smell like I am, you’ll immediately notice the difference. Design and installation: It’s long, slim, and takes up very little space, which is perfect for apartment living. I bought the quick-connect version and installation was quick and straightforward. It does require a few basic tools, but the process is simple and well explained. Important install tip: Keep filter replacement in mind when choosing the install location. You’ll need enough clearance underneath to remove it. Replacement is a twist-and-pull-down motion, so don’t install it too close to the cabinet floor. Planning ahead makes future filter changes easy. (Leave like 2-3 inches open) Practical and environmental bonus: I’ve stopped buying bottled water. A 40-pack at Walmart is around $6 and it goes fast. This filter cost me $129.99, and spread over about 5 years that’s roughly $26 per year, which is far cheaper than constantly buying bottled water. On top of the savings, it significantly reduces plastic waste, which matters to me. (Although I would never let it reach max capacity to be honest) Final thoughts: I genuinely love this filter. It’s effective, compact, easy to replace, and ideal if you live in an apartment and don’t have the option for a whole-house system. (Reverse osmosis still the best thing BUT I CANNOT AFFORD IT) Everyone should have one. My only wish is that I had the same filtration in my shower as well. Highly recommend.

Great Filtration, but Water Pressure Takes a Hit
I've been using the Waterdrop 15UA Under Sink Water Filter System for a few weeks now, and I'm overall quite pleased with it. The water tastes noticeably better, and I appreciate the reduction in chlorine and other contaminants. However, the one downside I've noticed is a significant decrease in water pressure. Pros: Excellent water quality: The filter effectively removes chlorine, sediment, and other impurities, resulting in cleaner, fresher-tasting water. Easy installation: The system is designed for DIY installation, and the included instructions make it straightforward to set up. Long filter life: Each filter cartridge lasts up to 24 months or 16,000 gallons, reducing the need for frequent replacements. Affordable price: Compared to some other under-sink filter systems, the Waterdrop 15UA is a budget-friendly option. Cons: Reduced water pressure: The most noticeable drawback is the decrease in water pressure. While it's still usable, it's definitely a trade-off for cleaner water. Overall: If you're looking for a reliable and affordable under-sink water filter that significantly improves water quality, the Waterdrop 15UA is a good choice. However, be aware that you may experience a decrease in water pressure. Additional Tips: If water pressure is a major concern, you might consider a different type of filter system, such as a reverse osmosis system. Regularly check the filter cartridge and replace it as needed to maintain optimal water flow and filtration. I hope this review is helpful!

Great product, great support
Only owned it for a month now but it has been really great. Easy install, clean tasting water, and only a slight impact to water pressure. Their support is also fantastic (I needed an adapter for my hookup). Rebecca was terrific to work with.

This thing makes staying hydrated way less of a hassle
Drinking water goes from an annoying hassle with water filter pitchers and dispensers which have to be moved around, cleaned, and refilled, lest they harbor mold and bacteria. If you have trouble staying hydrated because it is a hassle this unit is a great solution, especially if you are renting as you can't use normal under sink filters that require drilling holes. This filter is different, you just hook it up to your regular faucet. Even if this unit only lasted 6 months out of the year I would happily replace it because it makes drinking water that doesn't taste disgusting so much less of a hassle. (It of course doesn't reduce TDS but you don't really want that for most uses, unless you have special water filtration needs or have issues with water scale ruining your coffee makers, but RO purifiers actually have to add minerals back otherwise the water will taste funny.) The unit feels solid and had no problems with installation. It comes with adapters for most under sink hoses and teflon tape (although you likely won't need it since they have a rubber gasket for sealing). The filtering speed is fine, it doesn't noticeably reduce water flow (at least when new, will update if that changes), although the sink used has the smaller hose size. It's unlikely size will be an issue unless your under sink space is tiny.
