Great for updating antiques!
Added this to an Art Deco Vanity that I restored. What good is a beautiful vanity without a plug for my blow dryer, etc, right?! Super easy install, works great. Highly recommend!

Keeps clutter off the countertop
We just installed this. Had the electrician put an outlet directly behind the drawer. It works very well and helps to keep the clutter of charging cords off the countertop. The spring part is a little tight so the drawer will partially close on it’s own when you open it up but it’s really not a problem and I’m guessing it will probably loosen up over time. When you are deciding where to cut your hole in the back of the drawer, make sure it is not directly in front of the outlet because it does stick out behind the drawer and then with the width of the plug itself, you might not be able to close the drawer completely. Very happy with purchase.

Solved our immediate need in our new bathroom.
While we had plenty of outlets on both sides of the vanity, we didn't consider the unsightly cords and need to unplug and put away hair care appliances. Adding this plug in the back of the drawer allowed us to pull out and store in the vanity drawer. Ideally, having an outlet behind the vanity would have made the entire solution hidden, but that was a miss on our part. Fourth picture shows the stored hair dryer with cord hanging out of the drawer and going to the wall outlet. Lousy look for our new bathroom. Relatively easy install so long as you have a way to cut the hole. Horizontal edges have very little overlap, so an accurate cut is required to ensure there is no gap. The vertical (screw hole) ends are a bit more forgiving. For our install, I could remove and easily cut the hole in the back of the drawer. The larger hole in the back of the vanity (repurposed dresser) was needed to access and anchor the cord to the bathroom wall. Cutting the hole in the back of the vanity was a challenge working through the narrow drawer space, so you want to consider the space you'll be installing. I used my Makita multi-tool to cut the required holes in the drawer and vanity back. Of course, doing it before the vanity installation would have made this much easier. Also, consider what you'll be plugging in. We inverted the outlets so that the large plug from the hair dryer had the cord facing up. If the plug wasn't inverted, the hair dryer cord would not have fit. This is a nitpicking compliant, but why would you sell a white faced outlet with black screws? Not a big deal since ours is hidden, but if yours will be visible, you may want to be prepared with replacement screws or touch-up paint. We don't plan on using the USB charging, but will be convenient if ever needed.
