The reason I include the base with this design I call 'The Ascents' is preferred as gift in most of the cases. The original design has a Cross on one side and an angel on the other side. However, I can make the lamp with Cross on both side. So please choose the way you prefer this design before check out.An interpretation of Cross on calabash gourd and an angel on the other side. I designed The Ascents gourd lamp mainly for children's' rooms hoping to provide a visual reminder of God's love. The lampshade can be used both ways either having the reflection of the cross on the wall or the other way around. When you turn on The Ascents, the immediate appearance of the cross can be quite impressive. By changing the color and strength of the light bulb inside, you can constantly change the effects that the lampshade produces.
