Beautiful hand crafted pottery wind chime made from high fired white clay that when it rains, turns a pale pinkish terra cotta on the unglazed surfaces. Will make a gorgeous addition to your patio, garden, deck or window! The sound of a pottery chime is muted, almost like the sound of bamboo chimes due to the sound of the fired clay which is lightweight, yet very hardy and can withstand weather extremes. I crafted the pieces one by one and carved the Scandinavian Troll Cross symbol by hand, then in the kiln at 1600 F for several hours. I then partially glazed the pieces with a burnished golden bronze and fired them once again at over 2100F for several hours. The chime is decorated with crystal glass beads, quartz crystal chips, Bronzite and Tibetan agate beads, and a large Picasso Jasper stone bead. Total length is 19 inches long by 2-3/4 inches wide. ( 48cm x 7 cm). **only one creation exists, what you see is what you will receive, colour may vary from PC monitor to smartphone screen.** Troll Cross: According to old Scandinavian folklore a powerful protection symbol efficient on both evil trolls and other similar beings that might be lurking in the woods. Iron and steel is feared by the trolls, and steel in a crosswise pattern is even more efficient. This pendant protects the bearer from evil, and this and similar symbolic designs has been widely used to protect both people, animals and buildings.
