Coburn Company 060723 Hog Weight Tape, 60"

Not bad, but not sure how close to the weight it is actually is. I feel like my pigs are lighter than what the tape computes.

We got this tape, and another brand. Using both, both tapes indicated differing weight by at least 30lbs, which for a hog is a big deal. We went and actually weighed the Hogs and found this tape to be less accurate.

well, the trick with this thing is if the hog will let you measure him.

The end pulled off within the first 5 minutes of use.

The creator of this tape must think that hogs are small. The tape is far to short and inaccurate to give a good reading. I would recommend buying fabric tape and using this formula to figure out your hogs weight. Take the Heart Girth times itself. Multiply that times the length (tail to ears) and divide that by 400.
