Excellent case with minor complaints
I've had this case for a couple weeks now and am not regetting it. It fits very snuggly, has a high lip on the forward side so it can be placed face down, and is two-layered with a hard shell and rubber interior. Very solid construction and all the cutout line up to the buttons and ports. If I could, I'd give this product a 4 1/2 star review for the following reasons:- Installation wasn't completely issue-free. My brother has a blue GS3 and the same case. His installed with no problems and his buttons had flawless action. My white GS3 on the other hand had an issue with the power button getting stuck in the case. After multiple re-installs and swapping different shells and rubber inlays between our phones, the only way to fix it was the swap the entire case assembly (his shell/inlay combo on my phone). After that, things were fine. I feel it might be a problem contributed by both the case manufacturing and Samsung's manufacturing. With no cases on, I could feel that the action for the power button was bigger on the blue version of the phone. The white one seemed to require less force and actuation to press it down. This case really accentuated this difference and I couldn't get it to line up right. The fact that swapping case/inlays fixed the problem means both cases have some small deviations from nominal dimensions.- The plastic shell for this case doesn't have a great grip. It has a textured surface which helps when holding in your hand (better than holding a naked phone) but it is a harder material than the rubber inlay. Because of this, parts of it will slide around a bit if you put it on a hard, smooth surface. If I were to re-design this case, I would put a few large protrusions on the rubber case that sticks out of cut-outs in the plastic shell so that the rubber can make contact with tables.

Loven it
Had the first generation Galaxy phone with a casemate tough case for 2 years. Been droop many times from different heights with no damage to the phone or case. Looked around for other cases to see if something new or better had come out for the Galaxy S3, nope this is still the best case out there.-Pros-The fit is great they changed the design a bit but same overall look as the earlier model.-Highly recommend this case to people who want a case that does protect there phone but is not so thick and huge that it sucks to have on all the time.-Yes there are cases that protect your phone more but to me this strikes a good balance. All ready dropped my phone once and it bounce along just fine with out any damage.-Cons (being very picky)The edge of the hard case comes up higher on the sides which sounds good but will reduce the bounce when dropped face down. The older style had more soft rubber around the face which let it bounce when dropped. There is still plenty a rubber to protect the phone just the ratio of hard and soft has changed on the face, not sure if this is a good thing or bad. Only know that more soft rubber had no issues protecting my old phone.-Not a con of the case but more of using this phone with any wrap around case and the S3. The home button is down at the bottom of the phone, so much so that with this case or others the case bumper gets in the way of pressing the button from certain angles. The good thing is this could easily be fixed by snipping the little bit if rubber below the home button/above the charging port. I have not done this yet, want to see how bad it bothers me over time.

Good case, one big problem.
Just got the case. Immediate things I love and dislike about it.Pros:1. Won't slip out of your hand anymore. The S3 is kind of slick, but not that much. However, there's no worries anymore with this case with its nice textured grip.2. Snug like a glove. Fits pretty well. Had to jiggle it to get the rubber volume buttons through the hard shell hole. Still getting it the way I want it, but for most areas around the case you can't notice where the hard shell begins and where it meets the rubber shell. Impressive.3. For the quality, I really love how much I paid for it. Seems like a fair price, and it does feel sturdy.Con:1. This one I am REALLY WORRIED ABOUT and hope it won't be what makes me hate the case. But the rubber power button STICKS OUT WAY TOO MUCH. I mean by a lot too. It most likely is my specific case, because it's pretty obnoxious how far it sticks out. I'm worried it's going to get pushed, causing my phone to turn on constantly throughout the day, which of course is kind of a big problem for battery, since if it gets turned on and starts rubbing against stuff in my pocket, the ripple effect will keep getting activated on the lock screen, keeping it on. But maybe not. We will see. As of now, it's enough for me to knock off a star.

Good.
I have this and a incipio silicrylic. This is a very good case and the silicone on the top and bottom are solid, not loose like I thought they'd be.The outer shell is a solid plastic with a decent grip. The buttons are nice and soft and press really easy. But, when putting the case on, the buttons are hard to get in the outer shell. That's really the only gripe I have with this case.I think it's worth the asking price of $23 at the time I write this. I feel the case will support the phone in a normal waist high drop.As for the Incipio, I feel both are great cases when comparing the 2. But I feel this case would protect a little more in a fall. I love the inciopio and will more than likely swap here and there, but for now, I'm gonna use this one as it's new and I like it more atm.

awesome case
I have had case mate products for my past smartphones and I have been very pleased with them. So, I went for another one for me GS3. This product was exactly what I expected: sturdy and aesthetically pleasing. The case may be a little tough to put on but once you have it on, I feel that it would protect the phone very well if dropped. There is also a lip around the edges to protect the screen if you dropped it onto a flat surface. The case does add some bulk to the phone but that is what makes it feel so secure. The 1 star off is from the lip being a little to thick that I think it gets in the way of the home button at times. Overall, I am pleased with this product by case-mate.

One of the best covers that's around!
The rubber at the bottom is slightly flimsy otherwise its an excellent product. This is my third cover and probably the best one so far.

Grippy
Fits perfectly.Takes a bit of stretching and handling to fit the phone in, but relatively painless and quick one-time process and as expected with a slim fit case.Effective protection apparently, but only time (and falls) will tell.Double layer protection looks to do the main job well.Highly "grippy" outside material (hard shell). Putting in and out of pockets and packs is not very smooth. But I love the upside: handling it (I do a lot of e-reading) is perfect and feels very comfortable and secure. Totally corrects the "fragile" feel of the S3.Looks very good and discreet. There are cheaper options that might be better value for money. I've had a low-end plain silicone case on another phone for 3 years, and it worked perfectly. But for me, this Case-Mate is worth the price, specially because the double protection and grip. Highly recommended.

Great tough case, fiddly to install
I have case-mate's tough case on my previous phone and it was brilliant, although after two years the hard case had broken in places. The case for the S3 is slimmer than previous tough cases, which is great, but still feels substantial. The two-piece case is an excellent shock absorber (from previous experience). My only comment in the case of teh S3 case is that it is reallly difficult to fit. The soft case's buttons are more pronounced than previous cases and it's harder to get the hard shell over them and keep them aligned with the phone's buttons. The phoen kept getting switched on and off, and after one attempt it was apparently that the case was permanently holding the power button down - not good!Eventually fitted it, and it is snug which is brilliant. The raised profile around the screen is a great idea.In summary: Love the case, dislike the process of fitting it!

It is what it says on the tin
Got this as it was cheaper than getting insurance for the S3 and I am very happy with my purchase. It fits the phone snugly, it is a little bit fiddly to get on initially but I don't plan on removing it any time soon. You have access to all the ports and the power and volume controls are fully usable and protected. It has protected my phone from a couple of drops and prevents back plastic housing from becoming scratched on surfaces. I like the hybrid design of a rubber in a case and hard plastic outer case. It doesn't add a huge weight to the device, although my only niggle is that the screen needs cleaning a little more often as the rubberised parts seem to attract dust but this is no biggie and it depends on what type of pockets you have. Overall, solid construction, lightweight, giving peace of mind that the occasional drop isn't going to ruin your phone.UPDATE: 27/01/13My phone has been dropped from a significant height a couple of times onto a hard tiled floor and concrete as well as being hit directly at the back as I seem to have a habit in my profession to catch the corners of tables. The phone has survived all of these and I can still recommend this brand to anyone. A relative used to use cheap £1 cases and told me that mine wasn't worth the money until theirs fell apart and ended up opting for one of these brand cases and has not looked back since. Top Notch Case :)

Good hardy case for a breakable phone
Having previously smashed the screen of my Galaxy S3 I was keen to give it a little more protection from now on. This case is great in this respect as it is very sturdy!Pros:Really tough (I would be happy to throw my phone down a flight of stairs) looks pretty cool,Doesn't add too much bulkAll the ports are still easily accessible (more so than any other case I have had)Cons:Although I like the two texture finish the rubber does get dusty and stuck when going in and out of pocketsVolume buttons slightly harder to push.Overall: I really like this case, when wearing tighter jeans it does become slightly difficult to get in and out of pockets so if you are super trendy then this case might be a bit annoying. I love that it is so tough and doesn't look like a stupid "tough" case (otterbox) I would strongly recommend it too anyone who is looking to provide some real protection to their S3.
