This thing is cold!
This is better than I expected. At first I thought this is just a heatsink with a fan. It turned out this is an active cooling device with Peltier solid state cooling device. It fits perfectly and works great on my A7C II. It does take quite a bit of power but that's normal for active cooling devices. The only think I added to it is thin soft thermal pad so it can take out the heat more efficiently.

Excellent quiet supercooling hardware. Great product!
Works great. I’m using my it as a cooler for my ASUS NUC 14 PRO+. The NUC is designed so the motherboard is at the top of the aluminum housing with the processor at the top with the copper heat dispersion tubes going outward then down the side to the cooling fins on both side of the housing. With this placed directly in the middle at the top of the case it keeps the whole system much cooler. It’s very quiet and I can’t even hear it running. Well worth the money. It cools extremely well. It’s a nice compact size and it’s well built and solid. It has some weight to it and it functions great. This could be widely used for cooling almost anything. It’s compatible with anything that has the room for it.

Does what it says, be mindful that this is not rechargeable and needs constant power.
I guess it's my fault for not reading closer, I assumed it was battery powered but I realized that the minute I tried to "charge" it! I'll be getting a V-Mount battery eventually so I can't complain and it's a very good quality built fan that does fit my camera body and did keep it cool when I used power from my gimbal to power the fan.

More useful than expected
Over the past year, I've come to consider Smallrig to have several useful items for my Sony A7Cii. The Camera External Cooling System for Sony (let's just call it a radiator) has proven no exception. Let's start with the benefits. Designed to fit, the radiator snapped right into place once I moved the screen out of the way. It fit securely and I didn't have to worry about it slipping out during use. (a plastic ring is provided to ensure compatibility with your camera. Solidly manufactured from metal it provides a direct contact with the camera in use. A digital readout shows the temperature with a simple button controlling the power. While there was some "wrrrr" it was quickly drown out by normal street noise and unnoticable. Used on a hot August day in Atlanta, the radiator ensured that my camera kept working while other photographers near me had their shut down from overheating. Per the readout, I was constantly about 25C (American uses be aware that the temperature readout is in celcius) when it was running, the same as the ambient temperature of the Atlanda sun that day But it's not "perfect" To save size that would be used by a battery, the radiator required an external battery and USB cord. Understandable given it's size, but a rechargable battery would have been nice. But then there is the power consumption. Apparently cooling takes more energy than expected as the radiator sucked my 5000 mAH cell dry faster than I would have expected. (about 90 minutes). And as you're required to keep the screen open, learning to focus with it off to the side. Not that it's difficult to master, but you have to allow for having the screen opened out where it can be jostled. Overall, a useful tool for your camera should you find youself in situations where overheating can be a concern.

Actually works REALLY well. Totally solved overheating for my ZV-1!
It is incredible how well this thing worked for my Sony ZV-1. That camera has always had overheating problems. With the heat tolerance set to high I can generally get 42-ish minutes out of it if the space is cool but it is easy to overheat if the ambient temperature is above 70. I first tested this fan when it arrived today and when I plugged it into an external battery I was shocked that the reviews I had seen were correct and it actually gets COLD to the touch very quickly. Given how well and how tightly it connects to the back of the ZV-1 which seems to have a thermally conductive plate under the screen anyway, I was able to run it until the memory card filled up for a test without ever getting a heat warning. Later, my buddy and I who do a silly movie review podcast on youtube used it for almost 4 hours with no heating issues at all. You can absolutely hear the fan through the camera's microphone but using external audio it isn't a problem at all. The only issue we had then was the memory cards filling up. This thing, plus an external power source for both it and the camera make my old ZV-1 feel like you could literally record all day if you have enough storage space. I had planned to sell this camera but I'm glad I didn't and listened to my wife when she told me to just give a cooling fan a shot first.

Supercool. Seriously. It's Super Cool
I've had a lot of problem with my Sony cameras overheating. Over the years, I've used the ZV-E10, the a6300, the FX30, and now an a6700. The FX30s have built-in fans, but they still easily overheat. The a6700 is my newest camera and I want to use it as a B-cam for marketing videos. This SmallRig cooler pops right in with a bracket. It fits well and seems like it won't come loose. I even shook the camera pretty good and it wouldn't move. The metal build looks durable. As others have mentioned, it's more than just a simple fan. It also has a cooling device which actually cools the plate of the unit. Very slick. And the fan is very quiet. I'm very happy with this device, and I may try to use it with the FX30 as well.

wonderful
If you have a camera dedicated to recording or streaming, I recommend you buy it; it really keeps your camera cool and prevents it from shutting down.
